I called your company for a quote. I talked to a young man and told him all i wanted was to find out what it would cost me if I switched from cox. H talked very fast and I told him I did not want to make a decision until I spoke with my husband. He asked me for my social security number to see what I qualified for. Then he asked for my bank card number stating that he needed me to set up the install. Again I stated I only wanted a quote but felt pressured that I needed to give him my bank card number. I told him I did not want anything coming out of my account and he said it wouldn't. He read some disclosures real fast and I wasn't sure what I was agreeing with but he did say he would email me all that we talked about. I went to my computer and pulled up my bank account and there was a charge taken out from your company. I told him this and said I stated to him I didn't want anything coming out of my account and he stated I agreed to it with the disclosure he read to me. Then He set up an install date and I asked him if I did not want the service who do I call. He stated I was just suppose to tell the man who came to install I didn't want it. He switched me over to the internet side and that young man wanted my social swecurity and bank account number. I refused and asked for a supervisor. He began to argue with me for some 5 minutes but finally relented and I got a supervisor who stated nothing was done wrong when I explained my position. I called direct tv back and got a young lady and told her I wanted to cancel the order and wanted my money back. She stated they would have to listen to the tape of the recording with the first young man I talked to and then I might get my money back. She then tried to convince me to stay and I had to forcibly tell her I wanted it canceled. She then said I would get my money back in 3 to 5 days. I have never dealt with such horrible customer service in my life. I work for the department of revenue here in Arizona and we work closely with the Attorney Generals office. I would like a copy of the tapes to see if there is criminal charges I can press and you can be sure the better business burea is going to hear about this. I would not use your company now if yours was the last company to work with. I'd stop watching tv.

easy process

I can't remember the name of the gentleman that I spoke to last night when ordering this service. But he was all of the above. He was very patient and took his time explaining everything to me. The do's and don'ts and he was very clear with his instructions, terms of the contract, cancellation policy, etc. He left not stone unturned. He was very friendly and very professional. He knew this product very well and was able to answer all questions asked. I normally don't fill these out but if you could pass on this information to the gentleman that sold me this service, please tell him thank you! He is very fanatical in his work and his exuberance and passion for both the customer and DirectTV showed through the phone. I would recommend others as well as long as he is the sales person handling them. :) Thank you DirectTV for hiring such an outstanding, caring and professional person to handle your business and your customers.

Everyone I talked to over phone was very enthusiastic and seemed very happy to do business with me. The technician who installed it at my house was also very friendly.

I had a great conversation with Shannon. He went over everything very well. He went out of his way to explain everything to me. When we lost connection on the phone he immediately called me back to finish up my order.

I had a great experience with dtv rep. Cheap getting started rate was a plus. I recommend them to all my friends.

Jason was not just professional and knowledgeable, He made me feel like I was a VIP. He took his time and answered all my questions with patience and kindness. I'm sure he must give the same speech hundreds of times but it felt like it was the first time he had heard my questions. Each time I asked a question or wanted to know something, he would explain things to me in a way I could understand and even said, "that's a good question". I was impressed with his personable, yet professional attitude. This is the guy you want to install all your electronics!

Customer service rep was amazing, helpful, had knowledge of the equipment and services. He answered all my questions and did not make me feel rushed at all. Based on just the customer service so far, I would recommend direct tv!
