First, I don't think they even deserve 1 star due to their lack of communication and professional skills. Second, this is not the first but the second disappointment I got from DHL "International" courier service. The first time I used them, they lost my wedding ring right before my wedding and never received it. So, I decided to not use this shipping company again internationally. Recently, my family from abroad wanted to send me some snacks and goods so I had them use DHL as I thought this time would be different. Nope, definitely not! My package has been in the States since July 30th. I've been calling them for 6 days every since, talking to more than 10 different customer service people or specialists. Everyday, I've been waiting for an update. Not a single time they called me first to update me. I'm the one checking my portal constantly and providing them with all the information. To this day, instead of telling me everything I needed to provide at one phone call, they made me call for 6 days with different information. Still, nothing is being done so I requested to send them back where they came from. I don't want my package anymore if I can't even enjoy it anymore at this point. THE WORST SHIPPING COMPANY EVER!

My eBay shipment from the US originated with DHL and eventuallyI started to get fake tracking messages from DHL about the delivery being delayed because no one was home. As it turns out DHL had transferred the shipment to Canada Post, but instead of saying that they said they had tried again and left a card at my door( completely untrue) which again left me scrambling to find out what was going on. I finally found out that CP had the shipment by calling them directly. Why can’t an organizational as large as DHL just tell a customer the truth?

I truly hate DHL. Any time I have expected a delivery from them, there has been a problem. Packages have not arrived as scheduled. Multiple trips to their local office have been frustrating as even their “customer service” reps don’t seem to know what’s going on, or even how to locate a package in their system. Online info is often inaccurate or contradictory. And good luck getting a live person on the phone…it’s impossible. Carrier pigeons would provide better service!

DHL is genuinely the most incompetent shipping company in existence. The amount of times in recent months where items I have purchased have been shipped through DHL and have been delivered over 4 hours away from where I live is pure insanity, and it is an issue that doesn't seem to be rectifying itself. Once is an unfortunate circumstance, twice is annoying, 3 times is a pattern and anything beyond that is just a clear indication of a company that shouldn't even be in business. It is unfortunate that this pathetic excuse for a company still somehow manages to parasite it's way into our global mail economy. I got Mothers Day gifts for my mother, as it's my first year abroad and being so far from my family and of course DHL has ruined my mother getting her gift at all. I am a world away, and it clearly does not matter if its the USA or Italy, DHL has secured a global reputation of being more reliable as a burden than a shipping company.

If it wasn’t for Kaylee at the local Portland station on Courier court I would be giving a 1 star - the 800# is where I see most complaints on the reviews. Those are outsources script readers who have the same info as you do online. Should you have an issue I would recommend calling a local branch. Kaylee and her counterparts literally SAVED the day!!! She went above and beyond to find my package that had been bouncing around for days, reach the driver and help me obtain the package within hours !!! She was so pleasant and such a bonus for this company. Keep being amazing Kaylee.

Following an eBay order in the United States, DHL delivered my package. The day they were supposed to come, I was home, and they didn't show up. After two weeks without any further attempts or offering any solution, they returned the package to the seller. But it doesn't end there. It's been gone two weeks, and nobody knows where it is. DHL blames Apple and refuses to reimburse me. The seller, overjoyed, doesn't want anything either. They can't even tell me what happened to my package: it's a disgrace. The tax authorities, however, were quick to contact me to get me to pay. Never again DHL. I will never receive any compensation. They refuse to take responsibility.

I bought an item through Etsy and the seller used DHL to deliver it. It gets to Philadelphia, PA and is on hold because more fees had to be paid... which was not true (they claimed a clerical error). It gets to West Deptford, NJ and is on hold because "more information" was needed but... it turns out that was not true. DHL says they need at least 3 days to post that payment and the package is on hold until then. Their customer service was NASTY blaming me for not understanding their delay even though the DHL system said it was paid. Plus their cavalier attitude was "just wait for it" because "eventually it will show up". What BS.
