I purchased a Desky chair and upon arrival the "pebbled" grey was more of a black chair than grey. I immediately contacted Desky and they said they would exchange the chair but I had to pay $78 in return shipping fee's. I was able to negotiate a fair $40 return fee. Desky sent the return shipping label as well as scheduled the pick up. I sent the chair back on 108/26 and the warehouse received it 10/12/26. I followed up and asked when I would receive my exchange and I was told as soon as the chair was inspected. I never even took the chair out of the box so I assumed the inspection would be fairly quick and easy. On 10/21/26 I receive an email from Desky asking me if I still plan to return the chair telling me it's still an open return. I reply with the tracking information as well as Desky's email showing THEY scheduled the pick up. I receive a reply that they will look for the chair and it may take up to 30 days. Not addressing any of my concerns. This company is unbelievably disorganized and extremely disappointing. I would NEVER recommend them nor would I ever order from them again. At this point I told them I don't want an exchange and I want a full refund. And side note, don't be fooled by their "30 day satisfaction guarantee" because all that means is that they'll take the chair back as long as it's in perfect condition in their original box and shipping material but still make you pay an outrageous return shipping fee. This company is such a disappointment.

SCAM ALERT
SCAM ALERT! I bought $4k of office equipment and wish I didn't. One of the chairs was faulty so i tried to return it after 5 months. Was told the returns policy cuts off after 7 days and it must be returned in original packaging. Returned it to their warehouse, and was told it was never received. Was promised to have a refund in 24 hours... 6 days ago. Currently being stonewalled. Beware of this company's shady tactics. They're not trustworthy.

Very disappointed with Desky’s delivery…
Very disappointed with Desky’s delivery communication and customer service.
Desky advertises same-day dispatch for orders placed before 12 pm. I ordered at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, so I expected dispatch on Wednesday. I received a tracking number showing an estimated delivery date of Thursday, 8 October. As the delivery required a signature, I arranged to be home and waited all day.
With no tracking updates, I emailed Desky at 12:32 pm to ask whether the delivery was actually coming. Their response said my order had been dispatched the previous afternoon, but that tracking would only update once the manifest was completed and the parcel was scanned into the courier’s depot that day or night. This did not answer whether I needed to keep waiting at home.
I replied asking about the uncertainty and received no further response.
At 9:50 pm, the tracking still showed that the item had not been picked up from the warehouse. I also contacted the courier directly, who confirmed they did not have the item. That directly conflicts with Desky’s statement that it had already been dispatched.
I understand that delivery estimates can change. What frustrates me is being given an estimated delivery date for a signature-required order, spending an entire day waiting, and then discovering the courier does not even have the product.
Creating a tracking number is not the same as handing an order to a courier. Desky needs to provide accurate dispatch information, realistic delivery estimates and proper follow-up when customers raise concerns. Based on my experience so far, the delivery process and customer service have been extremely disappointing.

Hi Dylan,
Thanks for reaching out and sharing your feedback. We sincerely apologise for the frustration caused by the lack of clear tracking updates and the inconvenience of waiting around for your delivery.
To clarify, your order was placed on Tuesday evening and dispatched from our warehouse on Wednesday afternoon. Once an order is handed over to the courier, the live tracking updates and estimated delivery timeframes are managed directly by their system, which unfortunately means we don’t always have real-time visibility until the parcel receives its initial scan at the carrier's depot.
We can see that your order was delivered today, which is within our estimated timeframe, and as a gesture of goodwill for the communication breakdown, we have fully refunded your shipping fee.
We appreciate your feedback regarding our tracking and customer service communications, we are actively reviewing this with our courier partners to ensure better transparency and follow-up moving forward.

The price of Desky on the website is misleading
The Desky price on the website does not include GST, so do not be surprised to see 10% more after the checkout page; this is not right and must be investigated by the ACCC.
P.S. The company has just tried to get this review taken down. Nice try, guys! I have screenshots showing the desk advertised at $765. But as soon as I add it to the cart and proceed to checkout, the price jumps to $910.

Hi There,
We’re sorry for the confusion, and thank you for bringing this to our attention. I can confirm that prices shown on our Australian website include GST; it isn’t added at checkout. We’ve checked our pricing and everything appears to be displaying correctly, so it’s possible you encountered a temporary website bug.
Please email us at [email protected] with the product details so we can investigate what you saw. We’d love the chance to help and make things right.

Desky L-Shape Sit Stand Desk - not worth the effort
My experience with Desky has been frustrating from delivery to customer support.
First, the delivery was poorly handled. The heavy packages were dumped in my apartment lobby for hours without a call or signature request, and several boxes had rips and holes in them.
Worse, the desk is completely unusable. I spent an entire day just assembling the desk and trying to troubleshoot the issue myself. The manual contains mistakes and has very few troubleshooting steps, ultimately just advising to contact support.
Unfortunately, the support process has been just as exhausting. They provided zero additional troubleshooting steps, and I lost a second full day to back-and-forth emails just to get them to agree with my original diagnosis: the middle leg raises faster than the other two, causing a severe tilt. This makes the desk unusable in anything but its lowest position, which does not work for me at all.
Unfortunately, even if this issue gets resolved, there is no way for the effort to have been worth my time with this.

Hi Bryce,
We’re sorry this experience has required far more time and effort from you than it should have.
We’ve located your support case and reviewed the troubleshooting information, video and product details you’ve already provided. Your case is continuing through the existing email thread with our customer service manager and the focus now is on progressing the technical investigation without asking you to unnecessarily repeat steps you’ve already completed.
We appreciate the time you’ve taken to document the issue so thoroughly and will continue working with you directly toward a resolution.

Desky seems like a fly by night…
Desky seems like a fly by night operation. When I called their 1-800 number, the phone just rang and rang and rang - no automated menu, no voicemail. Eventually, someone picked up the phone, but it sounded like someone on their personal phone, walking around outside. Not exactly the proper retail distributer impression you would expect from someone selling four figure pieces of furniture. To further add to their lack of customer service orientation, when asked about the colors of some of their chair fabrics - which appear completely different depending on which photo you see on their website (check out the Desky Arco Chairs in warm clay - is it a terra cotta or is it a pinkish red?), they said, no they can’t provide swatches. And no, there aren’t any places where we can see the chair in person. And no, they would not be willing to cover the return shipping if we ordered the chair and it turned out to be a different color in real life than what they advertise on the website.
I’ve been looking at chairs for a week now, and explored everything from the Desky Arco to the Herman Miller Aeron.
Price wasn’t an issue, but customer service and a willingness to stand behind their product is. Doesn’t seem like Desky is equipped nor willing to stand by theirs.

Hi Jane,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm genuinely sorry that your interactions with us left you feeling this way.
I understand how important it is to feel confident when purchasing furniture online, particularly when it's a significant investment.
Regarding your call, the experience you described is certainly not the standard we aim to provide. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as it's something we'll be reviewing internally.
In relation to the Arco Chair fabric colours, we understand your frustration. Fabric colours can appear differently depending on lighting, photography, and screen settings, and we recognise that this can make choosing the right option difficult. While we don't currently offer fabric swatches, we're actively looking at ways to improve the buying experience for customers who can't view our products in person.
Our returns policy does require customers to cover return shipping costs for change-of-mind returns, and we appreciate that this wasn't the outcome you were hoping for. That said, if a product arrives with a manufacturing fault or doesn't match what was ordered, we absolutely stand behind our products and work with customers to resolve those situations.
We appreciate your honest feedback, even though we're disappointed we weren't able to earn your confidence. Comments like yours help us identify where we need to improve, and we'll be taking them on board.

0 stars if I could
Absolutely awful experience with Desky. I ordered an L-shaped desk with return and received it quickly, but once I started building I realised there was a piece missing (which wasn’t on the list of included parts at the start of the instructions). I alerted them and they promptly sent out the piece (which I never actually got). However, a couple days later I realised not only was the piece missing but the return itself was incorrect. These alone are not necessarily issues, I understand mistakes happen. The issue is with the customer service, especially somebody named Chris. I honestly do not know whether this is a real person or a badly trained LLM. Chris’ language was always polite but they blatantly ignored what I said in my emails a number of times, asking for information I gave immediately before. I asked for the address to be changed, they confirmed it, then sent the part to the original (wrong) address. I just received the replacement return and it was exactly the same. Chris assured me that I had received an older model of the return, without actually checking this with the warehouse at all. I received this desk three weeks ago and it’s been half built in my office the whole time. I’ve just called and apparently it’s the main desk part that might be wrong, and after all this time someone is apparently checking with the warehouse at last. This should have been the first step; a good customer service representative would have asked why the part was missing rather than just putting a band-aid on the problem.
We’ll see if this actually gets fixed. Based on my experience so far I have no faith in this company to address any problem in a reasonable time. I’ve never been so disappointed with service before. I’ve so far been waiting until it was built to give an honest review of its quality, but unfortunately the incompetence of the customer service has pushed me to write this before I’ve even tried it. I honestly hate writing this, but I couldn't wait any longer.

Hi Hayley,
We’re very sorry for the repeated issues with the missing parts, incorrect desktop components and replacement process, as well as the frustration caused by having the entire journey.
We’ve located your correspondence and the matter has now been escalated for the correct components to be verified before dispatch. We’ll continue working with you directly through the existing email thread until this is resolved.

Disastrous customer service
This is one of the most unfortunate reviews I've recently written. I desperately wanted this purchase and product to be a success. Unfortunately, the customer service and delivery were an unmitigated disaster. After completing my purchase, I was informed that I could either cancel the order or pay an additional fee for shipping. Having already rearranged my office, I felt compelled to pay the extra cost.
Desky left my 240-pound shipment of desk and accessories on a public street in a red zone, dangerously close to a parked car that could have easily run over the equipment. I spent approximately 40 minutes on the phone with a customer service agent who was shocked and apologetic, insisting that they would never deliver products curbside. However, her supervisor later informed me that curbside delivery is their standard practice. In this instance, "curbside" meant the middle of the street, leaving me with the task of moving over 200 pounds of equipment into my office by myself.
When I offered to return the product unopened, the initial agent stated I would be responsible for return shipping. After a 10-minute hold, I spoke with a supervisor who agreed to allow the return; however, I was informed that pickup would not be scheduled until Monday. Both Desky employees seemed surprised that I would be unable to move this heavy equipment on my own.
During my conversation with the supervisor, it was noted that I had the option to cancel the order instead of paying for extra shipping, and it was acknowledged that the specifics of the street-side drop-off were never communicated. The only solution offered was that they would train employees to better brief customers in the future.
The most telling remark during my 90 minutes of interaction with Desky customer service was, "This is one of the things you have to deal with when you order furniture online."
Thankfully, Desky is the first online store I have ever dealt with that dropped more than 250 pounds of palletized cargo in the street, in a red zone, behind a parked car. Of course, Desky passed the blame to the delivery company.
This story ends with me being injured while moving a desktop that is as long as I am tall, and I am 6 feet tall.
Response from DeskyJul 20, 2026
Hi Scott,
Thank you for taking the time to write such detailed feedback, and please accept our deepest and most sincere apologies for this entirely unacceptable experience. Hearing that you were injured while attempting to move your order into your office is distressing, and we hope you are resting and recovering well.
This situation fails our standards on every level. While freight and curbside logistics can present challenges, leaving a 240-pound palletized delivery in the middle of a public street, in a red zone, and behind a parked car is completely unsafe and unacceptable. Furthermore, the dismissive comments made by our team regarding online furniture ordering do not reflect the care, accountability, or empathy we expect from our support staff.
We take full responsibility for how poorly this was handle, both on the curb and on the phone. We want to investigate your case immediately, review the recorded calls, and step in directly to handle your return, full refund, and any ongoing concerns without adding any further burden or stress to you.
A senior manager from our executive care team will be reaching out to you directly via email and phone to resolve this completely. We are deeply sorry for the physical and mental toll this situation has caused you, and we appreciate you holding us accountable.
