Thanks for sharing your experience. We're really sorry to hear your Deeper was damaged early on - that’s definitely not something anyone wants to go through after just a couple hours of use. Just to clarify how we handle situations like this: damage caused by impacts (like hitting a rock) or by water getting inside the unit - when there’s no manufacturing defect involved - isn’t covered under the standard warranty. That said, we always try to help out in these cases, which is why we offer a 25% discount on a replacement. It’s something we apply fairly and consistently to all similar cases. Regarding condensation - we understand where that concern comes from, especially when using the sonar in cold water. But the internal part of the sonar is fully sealed, and condensation alone can’t cause water droplets or visible moisture inside. If water is present inside the housing, it means it entered from the outside, often due to the top cover not being fully secured. And yes, you’re right - Premium+ is a great option for extra peace of mind. It adds coverage for accidental damage and even loss, which is useful if you're using your sonar often or in tougher environments. When you activate a new device on your Fish Deeper account, you’ll receive three months of free Premium access. With Premium, you’ll gain access to 2D and 3D depth maps of over 81,000 lakes, collected by Deeper Sonar users. This service lets you explore detailed underwater maps on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. You can access these maps even without owning a Deeper Sonar device.
