Worst moving company! Lies after lies and anytime you try calling you get forwarded to one guy. First our quote ended up a thousand bucks over and when they showed up to pick up our house they were three hours late and didn’t get done till almost 3 in the morning after the foreman wanted us to give him 500 bucks to not list as much on their paperwork. I had also asked after reading another review, if they use their own trucks. He told me yes which was another lie. Some other company picked up our load and then a different one dropped it off after having our stuff for 20plus days. Our brand new refrigerator was covered in dents and we are still going through boxes that were clearly marked fragile that are shattered. Then we had cops show up to our house while their hired help was unloading the truck because one of them had stolen a cell phone and was tracked to our house. Just overall horrible experience and will never use this company again. There is a lot more but I would be on here for hours. After seeing the company's reply to this review, it brings me to believe that they would still rather lie than be honest. the main problem was you can not reach anyone other than the assigned "agent". No customer support or management to discuss the issues we had. We had several items broken including antiques and like i said a brand new refrigerator that has dents all over it now. If someone wants to reach out to me from this company you can find our contact and we can set up a call. All the information i have put on here is true and not a fake review. Horrible customer service!!!!!!!!!!!

UPDATE 4/28/23: I see the company continues to lie in their response below. We reviewed the inventory on the quote THREE TIMES with the company's representative to ensure accuracy. I have all documentation. UPDATE 10/11/22: I was just contacted through LinkedIn by another victim of Dedicated Van Lines's deceptive business practices. Please do not use this mover. UPDATE 8/20/22: The company is now lying to the BBB in responding to my complaint. I just sent text/email screenshots to rebut the lies. Please save your money and use any other mover. UPDATE 8/1/22: We submitted a complaint to the BBB and the company has lied in their response. Fortunately I have screenshots of the text thread where I informed them *before the move date* that THE DRIVER is concerned about the lack of packers provided. This is not a reputable company. - Original Review - We originally picked this mover because of past good reviews. Clearly, something has changed with the company since after a month and long text conversations they refuse to do the bare minimum to make things right for a move that went horribly wrong. A month ago my wife and I moved from Virginia to Illinois. We've moved a lot over the years and this time purchased "White Gloves Full Service Packing". Almost every day we checked, double-checked, and triple-checked all the details via email, phone, and text. This includes letting ((name redacted per Trustpilot rules, let's call him "The Owner")) know that the DRIVER expressed concern over the packing task resources when he called us the day before the move. Moving day: No packers, limited packing supplies on the wrong sized truck. My wife and I had to pack four entire rooms in just a few hours, jeopardizing making our flight to Illinois. A month later, still no refund for the services not rendered, just a complete runaround. Moving day was hugely stressful, my wife had just lost her father a short time ago and had a personal health scare. We asked for the absolute minimum...a refund of the packing services. Dedicated refused, finally telling us to quit asking or their legal department would pursue harassment charges. Do not use this mover...if *anything* goes wrong, they will not do anything.

They were absolutely horrible. They called Friday to tell us they would be coming Saturday between 7-10 then Saturday at 7:45 they called and said they weren’t going to come until Sunday. At 7:15pm on Saturday the movers arrived unannounced. The movers came to look at our stuff and claimed that we had almost double the amount than in our contract, when we had 3 additional items. And would be charging us 2000 more dollars. We proceed to ask why that was and how could that be if basically everything was in the contract. They also made me very uncomfortable as a woman by staring at me as well as goofing around and playing in our backyard. They got mad at the questions we asked and said they will come Sunday morning at 7 am because they were tired even though they had already said they HAD to do it that evening. We asked for their contact info and higher up contact info multiple times and got in the car and drove off. They then proceeded to not show up at 7 am. We contacted the broker serval times to try to find an update. He would only pick up if we used a different phone. He was rude talked over me and hung up on me multiple times. He never gave us any info. My husband and I move Wednesday and we were very worried they wouldn’t come at all. Eventually the movers showed up at 12:30. I was upset and confused why they were so late and at the lack of communication. They got mad at us again. And refused to give us the quote we had already agreed upon. We decided to refuse their service as they never gave us any. I doubt I will get my deposit back. They were absolutely horrible and rude. There was no communication at all. We did not trust them with our stuff. I don’t usually write reviews but they were so bad. Ryan the broker was the worst of them all. Don’t use them. Now we’re stuck trying to find new movers when we move in 2 days. Also we decided to measure everything we have and GUESS WHAT it measured out to be exactly what’s in the contract. I bet they will write some sassy response to what I say but that is exactly how they spoke on the phone so take that into consideration

This company will SELL you to other moving company... Other company will sell you to another ... each of them will charge you more money (cash only) on the top.. and you must pay to get your staff back. Which I finally did , after over paying $730 on the top of original estimate, contract. As soon Ryan got my initial deposit of $500 , he stopped answering my calls, and nightmare started... Please Avoid Headache ! and to reply to their comment: I only shipped 21 medium boxes, you mixed me up with another unsatisfied client !!

I saw the high reviews and they were able to beat every other quote I received. They were pretty responsive. I added things to the quote to actually get a higher price, so I didn't have any overages and was able to budget. I even took them up on their free service to FaceTime around the house so they could get the most accurate quote possible. When the day came, they were $7000 off. I did not purchase anything between the quote and move day. They were just way way off. Be very careful using them and be prepared to go over budget. Once they are done with you, do not expect a reply back either. They are a ghost

I paid a $1,600 deposit to have them come move us. They never showed then ignored us for two days. I asked for a refund and it's been a week and I still have not heard back. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank and hiring someone else.

DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!! I too have been dealing with Ryan Gold and he does not return calls, will not put things in writing and does not respond to texts. I was provided with a quote to move my home contents from CA to NC and although i was excited by the low price, i was fully prepared to pay double his quote and would have been happy at that but when the driver from Brooklyn Moving Inc. appeared (and by the way, i was told that it would be Dedicated Van Lines that would be there) they did an assesment and my price went from $6400 to over $12k! i would have thought that the driver from Brooklyn knew what he was talking about but once they started packing, they informed me that it was taking up much more of their truck and it has ended up costing me $20k. Ryan quoted a storage cost of $325 per month and the moving company told me it was going to be $1,000 a month. i had asked all the questions about pitfalls but many of my emails, texts and phone calls were unanswered. i am still living the nightmare as my home contents are in storage in CA. when i have them in hand, i will be offering my 2 cents about Brooklyn Moving Inc. They are all in it to take your money. if you care about your money, you will want to avoid these guys at all cost. AFTER READING THEIR RESPONSE TODAY, I WOULD LIKE TO REPLY BUT THERE IS NO WAY TO DO THAT EXCEPT TO TAKE THE OPTION OF "CHANGING MY REVIEW." I'M NOT CHANGING MY REVIEW BUT IN LIGHT OF THE REPLY SAYING THAT RYAN HAD COVID - THE DATES THAT HE HAD COVID HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH MY EXPERIENCE. HE NEVER RETURNED CALLS DURING THE SET UP STAGES AND I DID CALL HIM AFTER I HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO PAY THE ENTIRE AMOUNT AND ALTHOUGH HE PROMISED TO GET TO THE BOTTON OF IT, HE DID NOTHING AND I NEVER HEARD BACK FROM HIM AGAIN. IN REGARDS TO PAY DOUBLE, I SAID I WOULD HAVE BECAUSE THE QUOTE FOR $6,900 WAS LOW BUT I KNEW I MAY HAVE HAD MORE INVENTORY THAN RYAN WAS INFORMED OF. FOR INSTANCE MORE BOXES ETC. THEY DON'T OFFER LIVE ESTIMATES UNLESS THE CUSTOMER REQUESTS THEM. ANYONE CONSIDERING THEM SHOULD GET A LIVE ESTIMATE BUT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT - ANOTHER MORE PROFESSIONAL MOVING COMPANY WOULD BE THE SAME COST.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Worst movers I have ever dealt with and I've moved to 6 states in 7 years. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere. I would have rather moved by myself! Paid a premium to use dedicated van lines due to these so called amazing reviews and it couldn't have gone worse. I am still in contact with employee trying to figure out reimbursement for broken/damaged and missing items. Does not respond to emails or phone calls. I have an email chain from my move in July 2020 all the way until now trying to deal with this mess of an organization. I am happy to share these emails with anyone. Promised a $400 reimbursement for broken TV and have yet to receive that or contracted reimbursement for damages. (UPDATE: Received reimbursement months after my move). Here are some additional issues that I encountered along with pictures. -Carrier came a week later for delivery that was originally quoted due to mechanical failures. Dispatch could never give an update anytime I called. -Delivery worker called off an additional worker who was on his way because he thought he could do it all himself. I ended up helping with unpacking several of the furniture items, folding the furniture covers, putting together my kitchen table. -The delivery worker did not have any paperwork for me to sign. I had to call dispatch to let them know and they told me they needed me to sign the paperwork as soon as I could. I still have yet to receive paperwork. -Delivery worker was not wearing a mask inside my apartment while unpacking or putting together furniture. He kept coughing several times without covering his mouth all over my stuff, but when I called dispatch about having only one person, they said it was due to COVID, clearly not... -Charged me an additional $150 for long carry, but was told long carry applied to the entrance to my apartment building, not my actual apartment door. He was parked right outside. -Brand new TV came cracked -Missing an artificial plant I understand they are a small business and a broker (used R&M Transportation), but this was a miserable experience. I have been avoiding writing a review for months now as I hate to do that to businesses in hopes that my issues would have been resolved, but absolutely nothing has.
