Coupons are worded so that the stores don’t honor them. It is very frustrating. The salesperson just shrugged their shoulders when I asked why a bridesmaid dress is not an occasion dress. I emailed the corporate offices and didn’t receive any help. A very unfortunate experience, I suggest shopping at a mom and pop shop. At least you will receive good customer service and your “occasion” is treated with importance.

David’s Bridal- dropped the ball
David’s Bridal: 2 stars. Would not recommend. But they already know they have a select, one-time-only market, which is why they can get away with pulling stuff like this. I had my bridesmaids order their cobalt blue dresses in November for a wedding in May. That’s a 6 month advance order, for those of you playing at home. 3 of the dresses came in just fine. The fourth just never showed. The bridesmaid in question played email tag with David’s Bridal for a few weeks before learning that the dress had somehow vanished. None of their brick-and-mortar locations had it, and it wasn't sitting in a warehouse somewhere. So in March, 7 weeks prior to the wedding, my bridesmaid learns that she has no dress, and David’s Bridal has just given up on trying to fix the problem. They gave her a refund and sent her on her way. Fortunately, another bridesmaid applied a generous helping of Google-Fu, and found another website that sold the EXACT SAME DRESS. (whitebridalhouse(dot)com) Same dress, same color, same everything. I suspect that they have the same supplier, but I don’t know that for sure. At any rate, my bridesmaid ordered the dress through this new website, and 9- count them- NINE days later, she’s got the dress. Right color, right size, everything. If I had it to do again, I would have gone through White Bridal House the first time. I know David’s Bridal is a business like any other, but making a bridesmaid (and the bride) stress out unnecessarily- poor form.

Ripped dress, very little customer service offered
I bought a wedding dress from David's Bridal online (on sale for $200) and it arrived on Dec. 28, half an hour before I left for a flight. I tried it on for fit, was happy with it, and left. I got back four days later, tried it on again, and realized there was a tear in the tulle near the armhole (on the interior of the dress, under the arm, so hard to see). The dress was not sold as-is or as a final sale. A few days later, we took it to a local store to see if they would fix it; the alterations supervisor recommended we call the customer service number and get it replaced.
When I called (almost two weeks after receiving the dress because of travel, taking it to the store first, etc.) the customer service line, they acted very suspicious about the time it had taken me to call, even though I explained the reasoning. They requested that I send them photos of the tear (I can understand not wanting to replace something I had ripped, but how would they have been able to tell that from photos of a tear?). They called me soon after and said they would replace it, but made it very clear that they were doing this as a "courtesy gesture" and gave me stern instructions to inspect the dress immediately next time and make sure it was in good condition. They presented this as "wanting to make sure they had sent me a perfect product" but their tone was very much "wanting to make sure I wasn't scamming them." They would not send out the new dress until they had seen that I had sent back the ripped one.
They called me back a few days later and asked whether I had already sent the dress back. Luckily I hadn't, because it turned out that as a result of a "glitch in their system" their warehouse had shown inventory of the dress where they had none (another reason I hadn't called earlier; their website listed the dress as out of stock and gave me an error when I tried to look at it). They would refund me the cost of the dress if I sent it back. I did not want to send it back; I'd rather keep it and get it mended. They told me that they would refund me the $30 I had paid for expedited shipping on the old dress "so that would help defray the costs of repairing it, since I would have to pay to get it altered."
I was not particularly happy with their attitude towards returning the dress originally, or their apparent belief that I waited an unreasonable amount of time before calling (they give you 14 days to request an RMA), and I'm not that impressed with their offer of a refund of $30 and no offer to repair the dress at a local store for free. You would think that a corporation having the financial troubles of David's Bridal would be eager to keep their existing customers happy and would cover the cost of a small repair like this. I'm glad I got the dress for so cheap, but again, it was not sold as-is or as a final sale; just clearance.
I'm not planning on buying any of my other wedding apparel, or that of my bridesmaids, at David's Bridal.

Despite a great initial appointment
Despite a great initial appointment, I was left sadly disappointed.
After an exceptional initial visit to the Stratford store in February I was so pleased, I wrote a great review about them on Google. I booked the initial appointment for my wedding dress for a weekday so the store was nice and quiet, the consultant Lucia was absolutely fantastic, impeccable customer service and you can tell she's passionate about her job, she helped me find my wedding dress, sash, tiara and veil and I left the store overjoyed! Unbeknown to me, that was the end of my good experience with David's Bridal
I was so pleased with the initial visit that I decided to go back and get my flower girls dresses and Maid of Honour's dress from there. Big Mistake!
From the second visit onwards I just had constant issues with David's Bridal, the staff were rude and unhelpful, there's a serious issue with communication between staff at the store and they way they communicate with customers. For example, I ordered my sash, veil and tiara on the same day as my wedding dress, the tiara and veil arrived a few weeks later but without the sash, I assumed the sash may come with the wedding dress, which i was told would come in July. I went into the store in April to pick up my flowers girls dresses and inquired about when my sash and my wedding dress was expected to arrive and I was told again that my wedding dress would arrive in July and I would receive an email. I was then told that my sash had never been ordered (although they took the money for it back in February) and was asked for my receipt, thankfully I had a picture of my receipt with me on my phone, they then put through the order for the sash. When the sash arrived in store in July, I got a call from the store to ask me to collect it, i got a call the following day from another sales assistant there telling me my sash was in store and I should come and collect it, i informed the lady that her collegue had called the day before, which she was unaware of. While speaking to the sales assistant, I mentioned to her that I was told my dress would come in July, it was now July and I hadn't heard anything, she put me on hold, went to check and came back and told me there was no order for a wedding dress under my name, i assured her there was and asked her to check again, she put me on hold again and went away to check, she then came back and told me that my wedding dress was in their stockroom and had been there since March and that I must come and pick it up immediately because it has been there for too long.
My wedding dress had been sitting in their stockroom for 2 MONTHS and no one from the store had bothered to call or email me to tell me that my wedding dress had arrived. It turns out that the day I went in with my flower girls to try on and order their dresses, the weeks later that i'd gone in to pick up the flower girls dresses and inquired about my wedding dress and told it was coming in July, my dress had been sitting there in their store the Whole Time and No One had bothered to tell me. The icing on the cake was when the sales assistant told me that the dress can't stay in the store any longer because it's taking up space and has already been there longer than it should have been (who's fault was that?). She told me I had to book an appointment to come and try it on and pick it up that week, when I told her it was short notice and I couldn't get time off work but I'd come the following week, she insisted that I must come and collect it that week because it can't stay in the store, and if i can't come to store, they would post the dress out to me for a £15 charge. Bearing in mind all the issues i'd had with David's Bridal so far (due to time, i haven't included everything - yes there's more!), i was reluctant for them to post the dress, i wanted to go instore to make sure it was the right dress before taking it home so I told her i'd figure something out and call back. By now i was pretty upset, one thing i've noticed about this store is that they Do Not take responsibility for their mistakes, but they make plenty of them! I called back explained the situation to another sales assistant and asked to speak to a manager, conveniently the manager was busy and unable to take my call and I was asked to call back, I asked if the manager could give me a call back when shes's free and i was told she would. The manager didn't call me back, but relayed a message through her staff member who did call me and was very courteous, she apologised and explained that I could come in the following week when I was available and try on my wedding dress.
My experience with David's Bridal started off so well, but by the end I was really disappointed. Planning a wedding is time consuming and stressful enough, the Bridal store shouldn't add to that stress, buying your wedding dress should be a joyful and hopefully once in a lifetime experience filled with good memories. By the end of it, I just wanted to take my wedding dress and leave the store and have nothing more to do with David's Bridal.
I have friends who are also getting married this year and next year and I've told them if they want peace of mind and a happy experience buying their wedding dress, they should stay away from David's Bridal.
One piece of advice i'd give to the management team at David's Bridal is please, please train your staff well, review procedures and work on good communication between staff to enhance the customer experience.

Unpleasant dress, unpleasant experience.
I have had the unfortunate luck to have dealt with this company several times because my friends keep getting married and forcing their bridesmaids to buy David's Bridal dresses. The first wedding the bride herself purchased a David's Bridal wedding dress. The dress's zipper broke on the morning of the wedding 15 minutes before she was supposed to go down the aisle in a strapless heavy gown. We had to sew her into the dress. This is a normal example of the quality of their garments. Fabric is poor and zippers are poorer. Most recently I was made to buy a bridesmaid dress from this company. I called the local retail location only to be told that they did not have any appointments available for me to come try on this dress. I had to order it online. The garment arrived and it is much lower quality than pictured. It also had a weird sizing issue and didn't fit. I have been trying for 3 days to return the item but cannot get anyone to answer the phone or respond to an email. STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE.

I have had pretty good experiences with …
I have had pretty good experiences with this company in the past but my last one was horrible. I am a bridesmaid with 9 other girls and when we received our dresses they were literally see through. We have been back and forth with davids bridal but it does not appear that they will be rectifying the situation. Cannot believe that they charge so much for these awful dresses!
