Davids bridal was the worst bridal experience possible. The front of house staff member on the ground floor ignored me and my party and rather continued her very exciting conversation about her night out last week then bluntly said 'upstairs' when i explained that i had an appointment. Anyway, we got upstairs and was told that even though i had made an appointment months in advance there would be a 20 / 25 minute wait for a stylist and changing room. So i started to look through the dresses. The majority of them were stained, smelled vile and felt incredibly cheap. Me and my party were taken through and we were sat down and i went in to a fitting room, where i then waited for nearly 10 minutes before the assistant returned with anything to actually try on. I was put in the dress, the very very itchy, non lined, cheap looking and feeling highly stained dress and again, the assistant disappeared. Multiple times my Maid of honour had to take the dress of me and put the next one on me because no one was there to assist at all. After i had decided i was not at all interested in purchasing from this establishment i said to an assistant i was leaving and thank you very much etc etc etc and they actually looked shocked ! They attempted to push me in to putting down a deposit on a dress 'if you put a deposit down on any dress and you change your mind you can always change it to another dress its fine' I would not only recommend this place i would actually advise people to avoid like the plague.

I went to David’s bridal for a Mother of groom dress. I found one I liked but not the color I wanted. They did order me the one I wanted. It took a month to get it and I did not hear back from them so I called the store and they said it was in and they tried calling me several times. First off if you called me several times why didn’t they leave a voice mail? So down to the wire I of course needed alterations. Went back a week later and it was all wrong. Sleeves were different and sagging on one side and the length was different all around but did not even mention that to them. So I had to be pinned up again (sticking to my body) and wait another week which the wedding was a week away. Went back to try it again and due to wedding being the next day I had to except it the way it was at this point. The day of the wedding I had to pin and tape dress to my body due to the alterations pulling in my straps so far that I couldn’t keep it on my shoulders. One sleeve was tighter than the other and they did not even match each other. Needless to say I spend so much time working on this dress that I was stressed the rest of the day. Pulling and fixing it all through the day and night. I invested over $200 in this dress and I had to pay for the alterations before the work was even done and now I understand why. I’m so disappointed and I will never return for any occasion.

I took my bridesmaids to the Stratford Westfield store and the experience was appalling. They had double-booked, so we were sharing one assistant with another group, and we barely saw her, although she managed to be quite dismissive in those brief interactions. The dressing room was absolutely mobbed, so there was barely any space, and all four of my bridesmaids had to get changed together in one cubicle. The dresses themselves were also awful - I don't think we saw a single one that didn't have makeup stains or rips, or both. Considering we chose David's so we could try on as many styles as possible to see what suited everyone best, the choice was so limited. Most of the dresses were either size 2 or 22 - it was really hard to find anything in a normal size to try on, which defeated the whole purpose of the trip. The fabrics looked and felt incredibly cheap, which is quite galling considering they aren't even that cheap. And it was almost impossible to get a dress without a crotch-grazing slit in, which is not really the vibe I'm going for. It was a real shame, because it was the first trip getting all the bridesmaids together and I could see they felt uncomfortable. And THEN I got an email to say I had missed my appointment (which obviously... I hadn't) and could I reschedule - absolutely not, thanks David's!

I went in with my girls for bridesmaid dress shopping and we had an appointment and another bridal party much older came in and we're much more out going came in at the same time and they did not have an appointment. The entire time they were taken as priority and my girls were only helped with there dresses once. We also were in a corner and barely got a quarter of the mirror space. We were the only 2 groups in there and it was not busy. I could not believe it. My girls felt left out and I felt like it ruined the experience. We most likely would have gotten dresses that day but weren't feeling it. Loved the dresses not the service.

I bought a dress in afternoon, left it for alterations to be done the following day, phoned to return dress when the store opened and was told it was too late that it was already cut. Now, I purchased this dress late in the day, I think they cut it as soon as I walked out to force a sale. Plus, the alteration fees were excessive, in my opinion. The local manager was helpful and refunded the dress, but the alteration fees were still billed (tacking the straps which came apart when touched and the cutting off of the bottom and hem). I was charged a huge rush fee. Again, because of the quick cutting, I am stuck with a dress I do not want. The straps were tacked and the sleeve was tacked and I was charged 40 dollars! The threads came out when the manager and I touched the sleeve. Also, I was charge 60 dollars for a rush fee. Little did I know that the rush was tacky stitching. The hem was cut apparently immediately after they swiped my card, so that I couldn’t change my mind, I phoned immediately at 10:30 (actually began at 5:30 am) and was told that the seamstresses were not in and the manager would call me back. Now I wonder if they didn’t take that time to cut the dress to force me to keep it.

I would not even give this place one star if it didn’t make me select one before I could write my review. To begin this rant, I made an appointment with David’s bridal in Madison Heights MI for my sisters wedding. We all showed up and things went fine for awhile until we were assigned a lady who had no idea what she was doing, my sisters WHOLE bridal party including herself fell in love with one dress and because we had girls of all shapes and sizes asked if we could alter that dress to make it longer and we were assured multiple times we could. We all then went out to celebrate when we received a call an hour later telling us we couldn’t get that dress because it could not be altered. So, we all had to go back and cancel our orders. I gave them the benefit of the doubt that time and we picked a different dress. We all ordered our dresses and they all came within a week, it was perfect. but Then months went by and I, the made of honor became pregnant. So about 3 weeks before the wedding I contacted a personal stylist from David’s bridal about ordering a size up, I told them I was pregnant and the dress simply did not fit anymore and this was my sisters dream and I didn’t want to ruin it. The stylist then told me “I suggest you find another dress because that dress is special order and you won’t get it until December 27th” mind you, her wedding was October 11th and I also made that clear to them. I bargained and pleased saying I’d drive to any store and pay any price just to have this dress and she gave me no hope and said it wasn’t possible. So I took it upon myself considering the dresses some girls ordered didn’t order until September after being told it would take 2 months to receive and still got it within a week and ordered another dress in the correct size. I ordered September 26th and am receiving it tomorrow. I think everyone at David’s bridal is unprofessional, very unknowing if policies and very cold hearted. I DO NOT recommend them one bit, their are plenty other shops who genuinely care about you and your big day. Don’t waste your time on David’s bridal.

Absolutely awful shop so glad I never bought my brides dress from them, they altered my bridesmaid dresses in the Stratford store incorrectly making one of them shorter on one side. I complained straight away and I’m still battling with them since the 12th July. I would never recommend this shop to anyone. Customer service is awful,

Location - 2749 N Elston Ave, Chicago, IL WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Before buying the dress they will treat you well. But after when you come to pick up your dress, they dont need you.
