This lead provider started out strong. I was closing every other transfer but it did not last long. A month later and I am still paying $60 + for single line auto policy $350 in premium that lapse when the first payment returns. All recent leads have no prior or 1 month prior or something that obviously makes them ineligible. Guess what??? Not refundable since They say the prospect told them they had prior coverage. Asking if they've ever been insured before is not the same as, do you have 6 months of uninterrupted coverage?

Both the quality of the leads and the customer service have deteriorated in the last year. Our initial experience with Datalot was good, but recently we are getting leads who have been given unrealistic promises, are not actual homeowners or in escrow to purchase a home, but simply want generic rate quotes for hypothetical homes. Datalot used to give reimbursements fairly for bad leads, but now if the client is lying, not really interested in getting a quote and just ask you to call them back but never answer or various other issues, it is extremely unlikely to get approved for a refund. We have begun moving our lead generation money to other companies who provide better leads and better customer service.

Quality of Live Transfers has gone downhill and, yet, cost per lead has gone up. I was warned about this happening with Datalot by other former users. For the first 60 days you have an on boarding account manager, which worked out well. Bogus live transfers (immediately hung up, mentally incompetent, etc.) were immediately refunded by them. Now that we have been using them for 60+ days we get transferred to a new account manager and most replies are about how they cannot help with a refund or that they are beyond the scope of what is refundable because the lead "passed" the questioning with a customer support rep. How ironic that Datalot doesn't seem to mind billing for ANY live transfer with a pulse, but the moment we ask for a refund on a bad lead it outside the terms of service. If Datalot wants to keep their clients then it might be prudent to weigh what value they bring to their business revenues. An occasional refund for a completely bogus lead shouldn't be such a hassle. Rather, it should be considered essential for quality customer service.

The calls are not that consistent and most calls that do come through are received at irregular times also some calls are not that good in quality when they do come.

Datalot used to be good when they sent the amount of calls that I requested. Now we are lucky to get 2 calls a week.
