Would give 5 stars because the food itself has been great for my dogs health and coats, however, it seems that some parts of the recipe have changed. There seems to be more water, making the actual weight of the food a few ounces less, and the bone is not processed enough, leaving tiny shards that I have to pick out each time I feed my dogs. Due to my dogs very small sizes, the shards seem to get stuck in their throat or mouths, causing them to hack excessively.

Hi Stormy, thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. We’re thrilled to hear the food has been so beneficial for your dogs’ health and coats, and we truly appreciate your loyalty. We’re also really sorry to hear about the concerns you’ve noticed with the recent batches. We understand how frustrating and worrying that can be. Your feedback is incredibly important, so someone from our customer service team will contact you to look into the specific lot you received and ensure the quality meets our standards. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention and for trusting us with your dogs’ nutrition.

Food showed up nice and cold, no damaged food from hot Phoenix weather. This is really healthy food for my cat. She never gets eye gunk on this food, but if she eats anything else, even for a few days, her eyes get gunky.
Response from Darwin's Natural Pet ProductsMar 25, 2026
Hi Grace, thank you so much for sharing this! We’re really glad to hear your order arrived cold and in good condition, even with the Phoenix heat. It’s wonderful to know your cat is thriving on Darwin’s and that you’ve seen such a noticeable difference in her eye health when she’s on our food. We truly appreciate your trust and are so happy she’s doing well.
