Great staff, website/apps are a complete mess
When I started trading with my account they put the wrong fee amount so I immediately got hit with $15 commissions on micro futures contracts. This was corrected after I asked about it and my account was credited, but then I noticed that none of my account info was showing up on the site. I had to call in to get them to properly set up my account after I'd been trading for a couple days. My market data and TradingView subscriptions still aren't showing up at all on MyStoneX. To be honest I got a little sketched out once I had to correct them on two things in a row like this so I decided to close everything and go elsewhere. When I called in to ask about the fee mistake the person helping me said "yeah, our migration to [new web platform] hasn't exactly been smooth." So I doubt that I'm the only one feeling like the StoneX online platform is a total mess. I also got an error message when I first tried to open the site which has this weird thing that opens multiple tabs in a single web page, which also gave me pause because it was flagged as something potentially harmful on Firefox. For the record my sales rep from Blue Line Futures who helped me with all my questions and such was fantastic. Everyone else I've talked to at StoneX has been very helpful as well. The whole issue here that made this a bumpier experience as a user just looks like poor organization and management of the tech side of this company which have resulted in a totally lackluster digital platform. Also, after asking around several other brokers I can safely say that there are way better deals out there. Commissions are $5/side for micro futures contracts is quite hefty. Pretty much everyone else I've gotten quotes from has quoted me half or less of that, all fees included. I did find on the StoneX Futures site that they're advertising lower commission rates for these contracts too but I think that might be another division of the company or something? This is some kind of miscommunication, I'd hope. Oh and one more thing, there's like 4 or 5 apps on the app store with StoneX in the name and none of them took my login credentials. Maybe having CQG credentials for TradingView and using that to execute trades prevents me from trading on both platforms but it would be nice to have the option to check account balances on my phone. And there isn't anything on the site indicating how to withdraw or deposit funds- I've reached out to customer service to just see where the heck I need to look for that or if I just have to call it into my sales rep. If we do indeed need to request all funding actions from our sales reps, that is pretty slow going compared to being able to just do an ACH with a few clicks like any other platform. If I could just port the staff I've talked to over to a different company that has the tech side under control, I'd happily do that. Unfortunately all the things I've described above have made me decide to close my account and go elsewhere.
