They have really excellent customer service and there are always sales going on. They ship and refund promptly but I am disappointed in the high restocking fees. I am new to wigs, uncomfortable and trying so hard to find the right one. I feel bad about returning them because of the inconvenience, but I feel like hell when I lose $20-30 to just try a wig on. -- I live in small town Michigan. The nearest wig shop is an hour away and they have more fashion wigs, not the nicer brands. I want something that will last a while. I will probably end up buying online again when I can afford to because I still need one. Thanks for the reply.

Hi there. Thank you for your review, we love to hear from our Cysters about what they like and what they feel we can improve on. I am happy to hear that you are satisfied with the customer care you have received; our CCHD team works hard to make sure your experience with CysterWigs runs smoothly. Please allow me to take a moment to explain why this return/inspection fee is a practical policy. By the time we process, fulfill, and ship your order, we will have utilized the labor of at least six different employees. Add to that the shipping and sales tax (which we pay on behalf of our customers most of the time), and the wholesale cost of the product (which is usually $100 or more for a single synthetic), and you can see that by the time a single wig reaches your door, we've already invested quite a lot of money into just getting it to you. We would lose all the profits that these orders would generate if people did this without keeping money in the store via exchanges, so we charge fees specifically to avoid this situation. We often tell people that if you need to try on a lot of stuff before you buy, brick-and-mortar stores are honestly your best bet. While online prices are lower, they are often lower because you, the client, accept more of the risk for items that may or may not work for you, and you do 100% of the research and styling on your own. Another trade-off is that you have to wait to see the product, whereas you often get to try on and walk home with your hair on the same day at a B&M. Brick-and-mortar salons charge more because they remove this guess work while also helping to customize the hair to fit you better. They have much less overhead than an online retailer and they have more ability to give you hands-on help. Another thing to consider is a mixed solution of the two. It might suit you to get the primary wig experience at a B&M, and then once you know what works, you can move into buying online to save some money. We are here to help you on this journey that we know can be a little overwhelming. Feel free to give CCHD a call or email for questions and advice, they are happy to assist you in any way that they can. Thank you for your support.

I had to make a purchase because I had a credit from a previous purchase. I don't like to shop at places that offer only credit and charge a high return fee but I obviously wasn't paying attention and was stuck. That being said, the customer service is quick and friendly. The variety of inventory is quite good. I won't be a return customer only because of the return policy.

The quality of their wigs is excellent, although the one that I chose didn't suit me, and I had to return it. Wig cost is also good. I was at first disappointed there isn't a live person that I could speak to. I kept emailing them and kept getting automated responses. Finally, someone send me the return label via email attachment. Now, I'm just waiting for my refund. I might order from them again.

I had one transaction with Cysterwigs. Shipping was great - timely. They handled my return properly and promptly. Customer service reached out to me to offer needed suggestions after my initial review. Heather's video spotlights were invaluable. I had however great difficulty with what looked to me to be Quality Control. There is a clear problem with misleading photos particularly of colors on the part of wholesalers. I have found the same color provided by the same retailer is slightly and factually different. My conclusion is that this is due to digital enhancement, not due to studio lighting, computer monitors or individual perception. The colors are being manipulated by the wholesaler. The second and related problem which ultimately resulted in my return was a significant difference between the color I received and the color I expected based on the photos and on Heather's video spotlight. I finally concluded this was a Quality Control problem. The label and packaging had to be wrong and an accidental human error somewhere in the supply chain. That is the only reasonable explanation. I am not ready to believe that the entire wig industry is based on misrepresentation. There is however room for lots of improvement. I referred the matter to customer service and I hope they will follow-up. In the meantime I have moved on and ordered from a different company and a different brand. It remains to be seen if this will work well for me.

Linda, I hate to say it, but while you wrote "I am not ready to believe that the entire wig industry is based on misrepresentation" it is in fact the case that: 1- manufacturers intentionally take product images under deceptive lighting 2- manufacturers Photoshop product images to make the pictures more appealing 3- manufacturers, without notice to anyone, change both the makeup of the hair they sell and the dyes they use on said hair. Happy hair shopping!

I'm going with three stars for "AVERAGE" because that's what I think about my experience, but it says "with some friction" which I take to mean an active problem. There wasn't an active problem, but there was nothing to make the experience above average either. My experience was right in the middle. The prices are not lower or higher than other sites' I like. Their customer service was having issues at the time, but they explained it, and I ordered around the holidays, so it was ok. Shipping takes longer than from my favorite merchant. I will do business with them again, but this is not my favorite merchant.
