Poor Customer Service Is An Understatement
To say this company has the poorest customer service is an understatement. Store #351 has been refusing to fill a legal prescription for months, and causing both me and my prescriber to jump through unnecessary hoops. The latest incident of their refusal to fill a legal prescription put me in the hospital, and now as a result of my new diagnosis that I didn't have and I wouldn't have if CVS had done their due diligence and honored a prescription I was legally prescribed, I am out of work for 6 months until I can be cleared by a neurologist, and I can't even operate my own motor vehicle.
When you attempt to call their store, you navigate a phone menu, and you have to wait on hold for an extraordinary amount of time before you get an attitude from the human being in the pharmacy that you want to talk to.
When you take your complaint to their email address, they respond with a form letter (obviously prepared in advance) and "recommend" you call another number that keeps you on hold forever, but a robotic voice comes on every 30 second and tells you how important your call is to them. After hearing that 75 times, I gave up.
Also, they must receive a ton of complaints, because a recent (canned) email they sent me didn't even have my correct name - it said Dear (NOT MY NAME), and urged me to call the same number that keeps you on hold.
Pharmacists and pharmacy techs employed by CVS, in my experience, embellish and abuse state and federal laws and insurance company policies so they don't have to do any actual work, but I don't think they realize that when people don't get their medication that their doctor prescribes, they get very sick and it seriously impacts their lives. My job requires me to operate a motor vehicle, and now I can't. For 6 months. Until I'm cleared by a neurologist and provided I am symptom free. All because they didn't perform due regard or show due diligence. It's a perfect example of a company wanting to do the least amount of work and maximize their profits. I don't think they really "care" about the lives they are affecting by taking unrighteous authority over a legal prescription and refusing to fill it. Yes, they're short staffed; but that's not my problem... well, now it is, because my company is short staffed now because if I had my medication, I wouldn't have gotten sick, and I wouldn't have been put out of work. Take your prescriptions ANYWHERE else. Do NOT risk going through what I'm going through now, because they simply do not care, regardless of the response that will be below this review stating that they are committed to addressing my concerns and they'll ask me to contact another phone number that no one answers. You can only do business this way for so long before you reap what you sow.

pharmacy line wait
Been waiting in pharmacy line for 20 minutes for pickup. Was 10th in line, 20 minutes and counting I’m now #6 with people behind me. Only one person working window despite being a prime (after work) pickup time. Outside line (1 person working) is just ad bad.
Pharmacy customer service is good, especially Mark, but staffing, as always, is deplorable.
After 45 minutes now waiting for someone to be free because insurance was only applied to one prescription and not the refill. Still no one in sight to assist. Think I’ll change to Walgreen’s which is just down the street.

Horrible place to work for
Horrible place to work for! The company doesn't provide each store with enough hours to adequately staff the store. Many times there is only one person scheduled to work the front store resulting in higher theft and puts the employees in higher risk of getting hurt. When a person is terminated they do not provide any information re: cobra benefits and it is a fight to get the information that is needed. I would not advise anyone to work for this company.

FRAUD ON A MAJOR SCALE
I went in to pick up two prescriptions, one for me and the other for my wife. Both were for the same pharmaceutical. The CVS pharmacist wanted to charge my wife over $20 while my I was charged $2.27. Yes, we have different insurance but mine has actually worse prescription coverage. Of course I asked the pharmacist to check it and she said that my wife's insurance denied coverage of Augmentin ( penicillin ) She came over with the manager who insisted her prescription was $20. I walked out without her medication and called her mail order pharmacy. They informed me that with her medical coverage the medication was FREE. I think someone in CVS is committing fraud.

Racial insults, malicious destruction of my property
BEWARE OF CVS PHARMACY/CVS HEALTH AND MARGIE MULQUEEN
CVS made racial insults to me. CVS maliciously destroyed my invaluable, and irreplaceable wildlife photos from 1974. CVS's Manager, Margie Mulqueen has obstructed justice by denying both the police and my review of their videos, which proved which employee is guilty of theft. CVS refused any communication with me despite my six complaints. CVS refused to reprimand any of their employees regarding both racial insults and theft. With CVS, there is neither justice nor accountability.
I overheard their employee made a racial insult about me to three other employees, and a customer. Then she or another employee stole my irreplaceable film, that was supposed to be sent for processing. Their manager Maggie Mulqueen, refused to disclose the name of the employee seen on their videotape, either to me or to Cpl. Singh, of the Baltimore County Police. She refused to even discipline the CVS employee. CVS ignored my four complaints. There are no consequences or accountability for CVS employees making racial insults, and stealing. Their refusal to provide the name of their employee is an obstruction of justice, designed to prevent me from taking legal action. That is very sad!
I entrusted my prized slides to them for development. I believe that the CVS employee who made racial insults intentionally disposed my property. Since this is stealing, it is a crime. CVS has the videos, but refused to tell me the name of their employee. Their manager, Margie Mulqueen is guilty of a cover-up to a theft and crime.
On October 5, 2023, I took my slides and print negatives to the CVS at 900 Edmondson Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21228, store 4602. Their photo assistant, Virginia told me they would take 2 or 3 weeks for processing them to a disc. Three weeks, I finally spoke to Virginia. She informed me that my property was stolen by an employee, as only an employee had access to my photos.
In the next three weeks, I called three times to CVS so-called customer service. Each time, I was promised that a CVS district manager would call me. Of course, nobody ever contacted me. The last call, I demanded a formal case number, which is S9843498.
Since CVS corporate would not help me, I tried calling the store manager, Margie Mulqueen. She admitted in her email to me that she has store photos, and could find out which employee took my photos. I even offered her a $100 reward/finder's fee for the return om my slides and negatives, with no questions asked. She called me two days later, said she saw the videos in front of both the pharmacy and the photo department, and asked what I wanted. I said I wanted the employees' name. She asked why. I said if CVS was going to take no action in my behalf, I would take legal action. She then said she would refuse to share the employees' name with me. Margie Mulqueen is guilty of obstructing justice and participating in a cover-up designed to protect her employee.
These were my best wildlife slides dating from 1975 that I wanted to make prints of. They included Grizzly Bears, Black Bears, Mountain Sheep, Rattlesnakes, etc. There is no amount of money or compensation that can repay me for my losses. I only wanted my property that I had entrusted to CVS to be returned, and all employees involved in this theft to be accountable.
I made a complaint with the Baltimore County Police Department Cpl. Singh visited CVS a number of times. Cpl. Singh was lied to, and CVS refused to provide their tapes to him indicating who stole my film.
I made a complaint to the Maryland Attorney General's Office of Consumer Protection. CVS replied that they "made all reasonable attempts to provide a satisfactory outcome. They misled that and flagrantly lied since they provided no attempts.

CVS Pharmacy
CVS Pharmacy - what can you really say about a place that seems to lack any real standards or ethics? This is a pharmacy that took over nearly every Target pharmacy, Omnicare, and countless small ones. Then, they began shutting them down one by one. Why? It appears they aim to herd everyone into their larger, supposedly 24-hour locations, which, let’s be honest, hardly keep those hours anymore. Now you’re lucky if they’re open from 10 am to 6 pm, maybe 7 pm at a stretch, with just one pharmacist and one technician scrambling to manage the needs of 3,000 patients in line.
And don’t get me started on their medication sourcing. Each month, it’s a new manufacturer, always some company you’ve never heard of. Then there’s the ordeal of picking up a controlled substance. Suddenly, you’re not a patient; you’re treated like you’re part of a drug cartel.
I’m eagerly waiting for the day this company finally gets what it deserves. They’re in denial, refusing to see that Amazon is outpacing them, delivering medications more efficiently. But sure, CVS, keep blaming ‘theft’ for why we can’t access basic items without a hassle. It’s not about the Gillette razors, is it?
