0/0. They got a new pharmacist who made it clear he didn't like the meds I've been on for over 10 years. Every month was a hassle and then I had a back injury. Because of additional meds, they now refuse to fill ANY of my meds... Including one that has a side effect of death if you just stop taking. In any event, the new boy lacks any sort of skills needed when dealing with people. When my insurance company called them he told them meds were ready, no problem and then when I called to see if they were ready, said he wasn't filling any of my meds anymore and would make sure no CVS would. Childish nonsense to feel like he has power. I've wanted to change pharmacies for a while bc of him but was dragging my feet. Kid doesn't realize he did me a favor- not only do I pay less at my new pharmacy, but they treat me like a human. I hope the CVS pharmacy kid grows up and realizes you can't judge people based on their meds and that he has no idea why doctors rx what they do- they've gone to school much longer and have much more experience. I've also lived with my regular conditions longer than he's been alive. I hope that one day he has to deal with someone like himself, in the condition that I'm in.

Disrespectful to seniors, bullying to customers. Rude and not going back
I was recently at the CVS on South Turnpike road and had such a horrible experience I thought it important to share.
First, there was an elderly gentleman at the pharmacy counter attempting to pick up his medication. The young man behind the counter seemed unable and unwilling to understand him and began to snicker, roll eyes and make faces at the female employee at the neighboring register. The senior repeatedly spelled his name and gave his birthday but apparently this was quite hilarious to the two cashiers, and they made little effort to even turn around to look for his name in the filled prescriptions bin. Eventually, the gentlemen left empty handed.
When my turn came, I asked the male cashier for information about my prescription. He referred me to the pharmacist. The pharmacist, sitting next to the ‘Consultation’ window, ignores me for a bit then asks me name and birthday. I respond and he asks if I have insurance. I tell him I do not. Then he looks up, and after announcing private details about my medication, tells it would be a federal violation for him to allow me to purchase it without using insurance. Huh? I’ve been taking this for years and it was last refilled here at this pharmacy. Then he insists there is a problem because my medication has not been refilled for over a year. I explain that it was last refilled in October, it is now July so it has not been a year. He tells me that any medication filled in 2024 is considered a year ago. Then he tries to embarrass/bully me by saying-- loud enough for all the other customers in line to hear--specifics about my medication and that he has to call my doctor to confirm the medication. Great! I say. I’ll wait right here in case you need to ask me anything. He then goes about filing and scrolling on his computer for about 5 minutes and later he looks up and says I’m not calling her now. I’m busy. Ok, so when might my medication be ready I ask. He says he has no idea. So let me recap, you won’t fill my medication because my refill 9 months ago is considered over 1-year in CVS-land, you won’t sell it to me because I don’t have insurance but you have to announce to a bunch of strangers details about my medication and that I cannot get it until you speak to my doctor because you, a non-doctor, have to confirm what my doctor decided? What is going on here??
Needless to say, I called my doctor immediately and asked that my Rx be moved elsewhere. Disrespecting seniors, bullying customers, violating medical privacy. Nope. Nope. Nope. Never going back.

My sister moved to TN from PA
My sister moved to TN from PA and cannot get her Rx's filled here from her previous CVS in PA. And even though they send her texts that a certain RX is ready, they have nothing when we've stopped to pick it up! They also have refused to fill her RX from the Dr here after he called in the Rx stating they needed the Dr to call and verify it! He had just sent it in! Worthless pharmacy!!!! Go anywhere else but here, when in Cookeville TN!!!!

The Petty Pharmacist
My wife has auto immune and toxic shock . Her doctor called in a prescription for cough medicine that is similar to an over the counter cough syrup but with much less chemicals and she reacts better when taking this medicine the doctor prescribed. The pharmacist was so rude and would not fill it . We said we would pay for it out of pocket and we have a valid prescription. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing . We will definitely switch to another CVS as most are much nicer to deal with. This is the CVS in Target on General Stilwell in Marina.
Whomever this women was has no people skills in dealing with people in a people business and really doesn’t care about customer service obviously.
Shame , shame , shame
We would love to talk to someone in charge there but I’m not holding my breath.

CVS is spirit airlines of pharmaceuticals
I used to go to Walgreens for 15+ years where my script was $5 with my old insurance. Now with my new plan, I thought I was only covered at CVS—or I could pay $98 at Walgreens. So I drop off my prescription at CVS thinking it’s covered, and they tell me it’s not. Out-of-pocket price? $178. On top of that, they don’t even have it in stock and say it’ll take 2–3 business days to order. I’m like whatever, I need it—I’ll fill it and try to use a GoodRX coupon.
I download the CVS app to check my prescription status—app doesn’t work. I can’t even find proof that I dropped off the script. And when you call the pharmacy? You have to leave a voicemail to speak with someone. Walgreens never made it that difficult.
Then I find out GoodRX only saves me $20—still awful, but I try to use it. They tell me I have to wait 10–15 minutes for the coupon to “process.” Never had to do that at Walgreens—they’d apply it right away and I’d be out the door.
So I wait. Drive back up to the window. There’s now a cardboard sign that says “System down.” I ask the guy what happened and what I’m supposed to do, and he tells me I have to come back tomorrow because the GoodRX code shorted out their system… it’s 2025 for goodness sake. Walgreens you give the code and you get your script within seconds.
At this point I’m beyond pissed. I would honestly rather pay the $98 at Walgreens than deal with CVS again. What a garbage company. Shut it down.

If I could give no stars that is what…
If I could give no stars that is what it would be. Horrible customer service at the front counter taking a UPS package in. Immediately met with negative attitude about the size of the package I brought in, two clerks behind the counter. After the first clerk displayed the negative attitude saying she was refusing all large packages because she was not going to lift it, the second proceeded to tell me that it was over five pounds they refuse to take it. If I as a customer can carry it by myself into the store, then surely two people can manage to slide it across the floor behind the counter. There are no size and weight restrictions listed for this drop off point. I am elderly and female and I can manage to carry the package, it was not that heavy it was just a tall package, there is no excuse in 100 degree weather treating UPS customers like that, UPS should get rid of you as a provider.

Review of Pharmacist Conduct
Review of Pharmacist Conduct – Unprofessional and Disrespectful Behavior
As a licensed medical provider working with a nationwide medical clinic, I was deeply disappointed by the conduct of a pharmacist at this location. One of our patients returned to clinic after being refused her medication refill—despite presenting a printed prescription that was properly signed, included the physician's NPI number, and met all legal requirements. This method of issuing prescriptions is standard across hospitals and private practices nationwide, especially with the growing use of electronic medical record systems.
I contacted the pharmacy directly to clarify and ensure the patient received the care she needed. Unfortunately, the pharmacist I spoke with was not only uncooperative, but outright rude and arrogant. I answered all of his questions respectfully, yet he continued to challenge my legitimacy as a provider. Shockingly, he even asked if I was “acting like a paramedic.” For the record, I hold the appropriate medical degrees and have over 30 years of clinical experience.
His behavior was unprofessional, dismissive, and inappropriate. Despite confirming that the prescription was for a non-controlled medication, he refused to fill it, asked the same questions repeatedly, questioned my authority without cause, and ultimately ended the call by saying, “Let’s not waste any more time,” before hanging up on me.
This kind of behavior creates unnecessary barriers to care and disrespects both the provider and the patient. I was forced to redirect the prescription to a different pharmacy to ensure the patient received her medication without further delay. I have filed a formal complaint with the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy to ensure this incident is reviewed appropriately.
Addendum: I asked the pharmacist for his full name, and he gave me an incorrect name—most likely to avoid being reported to the pharmacy board. I called the pharmacy again and asked a technician to provide his full name and correct spelling, but she refused and said she would connect me back to him. I explained I did not wish to speak with him again. On a third attempt, I asked for the store manager. The staff member who answered was kind and went to get the manager, but the manager also refused to provide the pharmacist’s name, citing it as private information. This is incorrect. A pharmacist's name is public information—it appears on every prescription label and is listed on the state Board of Pharmacy website. I proceeded to file a formal complaint for disciplinary action with the board due to this pharmacist’s unprofessional behavior and for obstructing a patient’s access to care. If all of you who have had a negative experience would contact the NC Board of Pharmacy, this nonsense might get addressed properly. There are numerous reviews here regarding the same issue with this particular pharmacist. The pharmacist's name is Ylber (Ben) Rraci. License #:

Worst Experience Ever
This pharmacy has refused to fill my medication without providing a medical justification on two separate occasions. The decision to halt medication is dangerous and should be grounded in clinical analysis but that is not how this store operates.
If you have been refused service by CVS, you can file a complaint with your state board of pharmacy.
