I shop at CVS alot because it is convenient (Southwest Cutoff, Worcester, MA) and I went in there on April 5, 2020 to buy two gift cards and I was told that the manager (Jennifer) would not sell them to me because I was being scammed. I purchase either E-Bay or Amazon for myself and then make online purchases or for gifts (which I buy a lot for birthdays and Christmas) as people prefer gift cards rather than a stupid trinket. On April 5th I was purchasing them to buy a computer as I did not want to max out my credit card and I even showed the cashier in my Amazon app. I did purchase it and used the gift cards and do have proof of that. I was also adding money to my Chime and the cashier called the manager over to see if she could complete the transaction, obviously thinking someone was scamming my Chime card, even though I was the only one with the card and I was just adding $250.00 to pay a bill. I did not end up making a purchase of their products as I will not increase their sales if they are not respectful of their customers. I went to another store with no issues. I called and complained this morning and was told that it is sold at the store's discretion. This manager is abusing her power and obviously has no interest in generating sales for CVS but instead harasses customers for have shopped at CVS for over 30 years and will now to shopping elsewhere.
