CVS at 3914 Capital Blvd - Employees Refusing to Wear Face Masks
Just went to CVS at 3914 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, NC to pick up a prescription. None of the techs preparing the prescriptions had their face masks on. The face masks were hanging around their throats. I asked to speak to the manager, and Jon came forward. I explained that those handling the pills we take should have their face masks covering their noses and mouths. He immediately became argumentative with me, saying that the plexiglass shields at the checkout protected us. I said it’s not about checking out. It’s about the people handling the individual pills we take. At that point, a female tech wiped her nose with her hand and went back to handling pills. After I persisted, which I shouldn’t have had to do, he sarcastically asked the employees to put their face masks on. A few reluctantly did, except the nose-wiper. She told him No and went about her business. I was in disbelief that any business, let alone a pharmacy, would condone their employees behaving this way, especially at the height of a pandemic (COVID-19). Jon was rude and argumentative with me. If he is the pharmacy manager, no wonder the employees do as they please with no regard for the safety of their customers.
