I had an online purchase and being an older adult. I guess I just couldn’t find the barcode I went to the store that it shipped from and the young clerk his name was Alejandro. This occurred on June 23 around 2 PM. He was very busy however he handled being very busy very well meaning under the stress of customers asking him questions out of turn while he was trying to assist me on a refund of an item that I had bought online from that store. He still took his time. He was so professional and he was so young and I was just very impressed with this young man! It’s difficult to work in retail but again the specific day I was one of five ladies waiting for him to assist one needed help on the Pay by yourself scanner machine another one kept asking for the bathroom key and he was multitasking, keeping his cool and also making sure that the refund went through helping me find the barcode on my phone. He’s wonderful and this specific store at 7534 Lake Worth Rd. in Greenacres Florida has mostly elderly people so he is a great asset to this environment at the specific store for sure and I really truly hope that somebody let him know how much we really appreciate him!

For Kristen and Angela at CVS Pharmacy in Southampton, New York There are places in this world where mercy does not announce itself. It does not always arrive with stained glass, organ music, or a choir singing from the rafters. Sometimes mercy stands beneath the fluorescent lights of a pharmacy in Southampton, New York, wearing a name tag, answering phones, checking prescriptions, fielding questions, and quietly keeping watch over the fragile human beings who come to the counter hoping someone competent and kind is paying attention. At CVS Pharmacy in Southampton, that person is Kristen. My doctor called in a prescription for me, and Kristen did not simply fill it and send me on my way. She looked closely. She noticed a possible dangerous medication issue for me, and she acted with the kind of care and professional vigilance that can make all the difference. In a hurried world, Kristen stopped. In a noisy world, she listened. In a system that too often treats people like numbers, she treated me like a person whose safety mattered. She was calm, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and completely on top of the situation. She made suggestions for safer alternatives and helped guide the matter with intelligence and grace. There was no drama, no panic, no self-importance. Just a pharmacist doing her work with the seriousness and compassion that work deserves. And that is exactly the point. Some people do their jobs. Other people become the reason you still have faith in the place where the job is done. Angela is one of those people too. Angela is always there with warmth, patience, and kindness. She has a way of making the pharmacy counter feel less like a transaction and more like a human exchange. People arrive at pharmacies worried, tired, sick, confused, or overwhelmed. Angela meets them with steadiness. She brings a gentleness to a place where gentleness is not a luxury. It is medicine of another kind. Together, Kristen and Angela are the kind of caretakers anyone would pray to find in a moment of uncertainty. They are attentive. They are compassionate. They are steady at the gate. And yes, I mean gate. Because there are moments when a pharmacy is not merely a pharmacy. It is the last small crossing before something enters your body and becomes part of your story. On that day, Kristen stood at that crossing and paid attention. Angela helped make the place feel safe, warm, and human. That matters. CVS should know what they have in Kristen and Angela. Southampton should know too. These women are not just filling prescriptions. They are watching over people. They are practicing care in a world that often forgets how holy ordinary care can be. With deep gratitude, CHG McClain
