Service has been great in the past but how can they change a prescription to a generic brand and charge the same price as the name brand prescription they have been giving me the past two years? That's not right, and they won't even tell you what your getting until it's been filled. I don't like paying for anything unless I know what I'm getting first! The only reason I go to them is because they have been providing the name brand prescription, if they are going to change that they won't be getting my business anymore.

Contact is Too Much
I love the staff at my local CVS pharmacy. They are always so incredibly helpful and friendly. They have really made an effort to get to know me. This is the only reason I continue to use CVS. Since I take a lot of medications I am constantly bombarded with texts, emails, and automated phone calls to refill my meds way before I need to. I opted out of the texting and said to only text me when my order is ready, so then they proceeded to call me with automated messages repeatedly. I had to opt out of communications completely to get this stop. It was very annoying. They also at times refill medications that I do NOT have on auto re-fill. Since I don't need it at that time they put it back, but then mark it as "inactive" and I have to call to refill when I actually need it (instead of just ordering online). I hate auto refills and I hate the incessant reminders to refill my medications weeks ahead of running out. I understand it might be a good idea to have some extra in case of emergency, but I DO NOT want a huge stockpile of extra meds in my home. Again, I will keep going to CVS because of the staff at my local pharmacy . But please consider toning it down w/ the contact!

Messed up my prescriptions that were…
Messed up my prescriptions that were transferred from another pharmacy. Shorted me 60 pills on one of them. Everything was remedied after 3 phone calls and 4 trips to CVS. It was insinuated I was a liar. Bad customer service!

Online ordering is a mess
I ordered Christmas photo cards and two photo ornaments from CVS and had them shipped to my local store. I got an email that one was ready for pick up, but when we went to pick it up, they said it wasn't there. Then, the cards were supposed to be there on a certain day, but updates on shipping had stopped and the cards were "not" at the store. I emailed customer service several times after nearly two weeks had passed, and oddly enough, suddenly everything was ready for pick up (the store called to let me know they were there, even though my mother had just been there to pick up one ornament which they had said previously was not there), despite me never receiving an email to pick anything up after the first email. I also never heard back from customer service either. Also, they tried to tell my mother that one of the items was not paid for when she picked it up for me while I was at work, despite everything being paid for when ordered online. I will not be ordering from them again, especially for anything related to their photo prints. Unless I want my order lost, or to never be notified of where things actually are, that is.

Insulting Acting Manager Loves Park, IL store on Alpine and Riverside
Acting manager at 6506 North Alpine Road in Loves Park, IL was insulting to me on the phone at 4 pm on November 11, 2019. II called to talk about a defective item I had repurchased (after a refund was issued by the real, wonderful manager) that apparently was also defective.Thinking it must be the lot that is problematic, I reported it so as to alert the store. She remembered the refund, apparently processing it. I told her that we bought another box (CVS brand Hydrocolloid Foam 4x4 Bandages) and wanted to let the store know that it appeared that they had a problem with the second box as well. She said "Well, if the first one was defective, why in the world would you buy another one?" - in a sarcastic tone, implying I was an imbecile. I said that I didn't presume all of the product was defective and that I must be stupid! I left a message for the "real" manager," to call back. I have a Bachelor and Master Degree in the sciences by the way and don't appreciate being treated like I am stupid because I gave the store another chance and tried to buy a product I really needed and need.

2 stars are right for this pharmacy
2 stars are right for this pharmacy . It rarely has the BP meds my Doc prescribed for me , making me take what they can get . Therefore actually CVS by not having proper meds , voids my doctor ....
Cvs is now mine & your doctor ...they do it to me , they do it to you to . CVS sucks

On a Saturday
On a Saturday, completely understaffed. Only 2 people working RX. While customer waiting for RX pharmacist left to get a drink came back and said he was taking a break. Did not acknowledge a customer was waiting for over 10 minutes after customer checked to see if RX called in 4 hours ago was ready (it wasn’t). Customer service slow, not friendly. I dislike this whole "card" thing
I dislike this whole "card" thing. I have enough invasion of my privacy as it is. I went to buy some small thing and was charged a premium b/c I did not have a CVS card. I don't want any more stinking cards! Nope! Not going to do it! It was a classic "bait and switch" deal (albeit on a small scale). You got me this time CVS but never again!
