I’m at the CVS pharmacy in Creve Coeur Missouri picking up medicine for my mother. The line is inside is 10 feet people deep. The pharmacist is running ragged, the phones are ringing & you could hear the recording stating you have 5 to 6 pharmacy calls waiting. CVS needs to employ more pharmacist to help with the people working these crazy hours to assist folks waiting inside the store and at the drive-through. And just to mention, the pharmacist & the other staff were all helpful and very patient. Absolutely insane. Instead of worrying about getting the mini clinic set up, employ more pharmacist.

I have an issue with CVS's 'extrabucks'…
I have an issue with CVS's 'extrabucks' and coupons that are issued on long strips of paper each visit. Primarily, my complaint is that they expire in only one (1) week, which is even more ludicrous given they're for products either just purchased or purchased very recently! Essentially, these coupons are worthless, a waste of paper & time, and a pretty transparent business ploy (i.e., "Oh, look at all the discounts that CVS provides us lucky customers!").

Store Employees only redeeming quality
These two stars go only to the employees who always seem to be nice - everything else gets 0 stars. The prices are always too high, even when extracare rewards/coupons are added, food items have a high chance of being past their expiration date (especially protein bars and the like), and the customer service on the website is horrendous.

I went into a pharmacy without my mask
I went into a pharmacy without my mask; I'd left it in the car, and didn't want to lose my place in line. This made the pharmacy clerk very crabby, and she pulled her plexiglass panel over, which is fine. But she was quite short with me as a result. And she didn't thank me at the end of our transaction. I'd also asked her about why the store was closed the day before, and she said "for cleaning." I'd feel more comfortable with a closure if I knew that! If the store had noted that on their door... Otherwise, one thinks "a shooter, perhaps?"

No return policy 👎🏼
I just returned a facial moisturizer to the cvs in Northfield NJ last week then went to shave my legs yesterday and realized I grabbed the wrong razors , so I just went to return it and they are no longer accepting returns until further notice . I love all your deals and coupons cvs but this no return policy is extremely inconvenient.

CVS must have the most maddening…
CVS must have the most maddening website ever created! It continually logs me out, won't let me add things to my cart until I've tried numerous times, or even worse, tells me "In Store Only." It's actually difficult to use my $10 monthly rewards since everything I need so desperately I can't get online. And considering I have no automobile, this is a big problem for me. I'm sorry I paid for a yearly Care Pass now. I will probably try another pharmacy next year.

Generic drugs are not all created the same!
I had been doing well for several months on a generic medication. At time of refill, the pharmacy substituted those pills with different ones. Knowing that pharmacies do change products from time to time and that certain subtle differences--like the shape of a pill-- shouldn't be a problem when it comes to generic drugs, so I took a dose of the 'new' medicine. I didn't feel so well after taking it, so I called my doctor's office to report the situation. When I looked more closely at the pill bottle, I noticed that the particular version of the generic drug that had been dispensed had been manufactured by an overseas company that was the focus for a 2019 investigation by the FDA. That company had received a 'warning letter' by the FDA in 2019 for unacceptable manufacturing practices.
I understand that the pandemic has created strain on the drug supply chain all over the world, so I do NOT condemn CVS for selling a drug by a company that has received a federal citation. Perhaps it is the only drug in its specific category that CVS has access to right now? Perhaps that overseas company has cleaned up its act and its drugs are even safer now? I'd like to think so and to give CVS and the generic drug company the benefit of such doubt.
However, I feel very disappointed in CVS and the pharmacy staff in how the issue of the substitution had been handled. First, they did not inform us at the time of picking up the drug that a new version had been supplied; we received no 'medication counseling' from a pharmacist. The substitution was treated like a non-event, when in fact it was really a 'new drug' situation. When I called the pharmacy to report my discomfort over the unannounced substitution, the pharmacist seemed a bit disinterested and somewhat defensive. Instead of offering to see whether any more of the first drug received (other company's drug) was still available at any of CVS' other retail locations, I received an often heard excuse about generic drugs 'being the same." That statement is simply not true, and I find it shameful that a pharmacist would even bother to say that!
The primary reason that I have shared this information is not so much to shame CVS, but to educate other patients. When a pharmacy switches your generic drugs without forewarning, speak up about it! If the substituted drug makes you feel ill or it doesn't work as well for you, let the pharmacy know and call your health care provider to report the situation! If you believe that the difference you have experienced between the two generic drugs has been significant, take your reporting a step further. Consider calling corporate headquarters at the pharmacy, as well as making online reports to the Institute for Safe Medication Practice (ISMP) and the FDA's Medwatch. Let's work together to promote drug safety by sharing this kind of information with others!

Historically our experience has been…
Historically our experience has been excellent. Great service and very helpful. But during the pandemic it has been awful. New help who are passive aggressive and not helpful at all. Computer system through app and store technology say different things. Trouble executing the ordering of prescription. One “lost” in mail and CVS didn’t, initially, want to help find it. Didn’t want to accept any responsibility for locating it. As I said, they used to be 5 star and I hope they figure this out.
