Don't fall for the Skincare Industry
The use of Tretinoin (their new favorite chemical) did so much harm to my skin barrier that was already damaged (which the Curology dermatologists did not diagnose). There is peer reviewed research that links Tretinoin to frequent migraines. After two weeks of use and so many migraines that I could barely read or write, I decided to cut the product and the migraines disappeared. The dermatologists in Curology could not diagnose my damaged skin barrier through pictures and that resulted in poorly developed, EXPENSIVE, skincare. Their marketing does a lot to sneakily avoid lawsuits, while actively propagating their skincare as "personalized" and "professional" but it did not treat my skin, only made it worse. Don't fall for the mega skincare industry, selling you harsh overpriced chemicals to get rid of your acne. Do your own research WHICH IS FREE, figure out your skin type, try some gentle moisturizers, and some cheap but insanely effective skincare that exists out there. After years of treating my skin with product after product, dermatologist after dermatologist, and even Acutane, nothing has been more effective than my own research and trial and error.
