First disappointment in several years of being a Curlsmith customer. DPD made an unexplained error, claiming it was delivered but then actually sending it back to Curlsmith. I complained to DPD to no avail, I wrote to Curlsmith and they said they can't offer another courier and they would refund me when they receive the parcel back. No offer to investigate with DPD even? So it's my fault that DPD made an unexplained error and now can only tell me that I should check with the seller? They can't explain why the missing parcel is "on its way to sender" for several days now, but Curlsmith won't even check? If DPD don't return this, I have to bear the cost of the missing product? I might as well be shopping for Curlsmith products with a third party that offers better customer care. In the meantime, I'm £120+ out of pocket... so frustrating.

My products came defective and they were not able to fix it. The solution was to reimburse me a very small amount.

The products were recommended by a curlsmith representative whom I had asked for advice as previous products from them were not working. However the recommended products made my hair dry out and it felt like straw and even rustled like straw. When I contacted curlsmith again to inform them of such they said it wasn’t possible for this to be the case so I told them my routine and sent photos of the start to the end of the process of drying. Haven’t had a response to this. I think I’m more disappointed because the products are more expensive than other brands and when they don’t work it’s frustrating.

Disappointed. I purchased a bottle of their unscented shampoo as I was struggling with my other one from another company making me itch. It doesn’t lather at all and isn’t suitable for fine curls leaving a heavy, oily layer over my hair.

I recently placed an order at Curlsmith.com. I received a tracking link the next day. However, tracking continued to show that USPS had not received the package from the shipper. After a week, I contacted Curlsmith and was told I have to wait at least15 days in order to report a package lost. Turns out, I received my package soon after. The tracking link they initially gave me was incorrect. But, that's not all... The package invoice said it contained one bottle of Effortless Waves and one bottle of Fragrance Free Gel. But, the package itself contained the bottle of Effortless Waves and a bottle of Fragrance Free Leave in. I had ordered both, but my order was missing the Fragrance Free Gel. The invoice was incorrect regarding the items shipped to me. Through extensive customer service "back and forth" I found out that the Fragrance Free Gel was out of stock. But, I wasn't notified of this. My credit card was charged for all three items, regardless. I also found it extremely frustrating dealing with customer service. Every time I emailed, I received a reply from a different customer service rep. This made it confusing for everyone because I had to repeat what was going on, as I had first a tracking problem and then, a missing item. Because of this frustration, I asked for a refund for the Fragrance Free Gel instead of waiting for it to go back to being in-stock, just to avoid a disorganized hassle later on down the road. Customer service processed my refund right away, which was a plus. I did try the Effortless Waves. The smell was intense. And, it wouldn't go away. It lasted overnight! I couldn't sleep because of that awful smell, which was a very weird, chemical odor. I don't think I can bring myself to try it again. I will have to rehome it. Afterwards, I placed an order at Amazon.com for the Fragrance Free Strong Hold Gel. At least, I can count on Amazon. The price was the same as at Curlsmith.com. So, that's my first impression of Curlsmith.com and one of its products. I did learn never to purchase anything at Curlsmith.com. And, I learned that I'm the sensitive sort who has to stick to fragrance free products.

Bestellung bezahlt, Bestätigung erhalten und nun, 4 Tage nach der Bestellung, erhalte ich die Nachricht, dass ein Produkt nicht mehr erhältlich ist und damit meine ganze Bestellung storniert wurde. Danke für gar nichts! Das war definitiv meine letzte Bestellung bei Curlsmith.

I spent a lot of money on this brand, I’m pretty unhappy that the bottles are literally the lowest quality you could imagine. Consider considering this is meant to be a premium brand and they charge a heck of a lot per bottle, I expect a bottle where I don’t have to break my hand to get the product out. I don’t know anyone who would use such a dry crunchy plastic bottle to store incredibly thick conditioner inside. Overall, I don’t find that products work massively well and certainly don’t justify the price point. They do feel a little to exploit to him and I think they should do a lot to bring their price down and their quality up.

Placed an order on 26th november 2024. Payment cleared. Not heard anything. Contacted them via chat bot. Got a auto reply on email. Still nothing. Customer service nonexistent.
