Culiau StoreReviews of culiau.com

Bought the engraving pen because the design looked promising. The tool’s decent, but delivery dragged on, and battery died quickly. Support eventually replaced it—but the wait and glitches left me hesitant to order again

I was excited about my engraving pen—it’s nicely made and arrived in stylish packaging. But battery died quickly, delivery was late, and support took too long to respond. Good when it works, but risky.

I ordered my carving set on Jan. 31 (and received order confirmation) and it's not scheduled for USPS delivery until Feb. 10. Now - unless this is being shipped from China, paid-for shipping (faster delivery not given as an ordering option) by the consumer shouldn't take more than 3 days from anywhere in the USA. jeez, I coulda drove to their warehouse and back in less time. Not exactly happy.

I have just received mine, nice packaging and presentation with a slick instruction manual. I followed instructions 'to the letter' about charging before use. First use, it only lasted 1 hour contradicting Culiau's claim of a 2-hour battery life, a quote from their Mastery Guide. The pen became quite hot with use. As soon as you purchase, you will then be bombarded literally with many sales prompts to buy more that starts to feel like harassment, this happening all before my purchase is in transit and received. Claims of free delivery? Not so.

1- The promotional videos don't clearly specify that most of the bits shown in action (like the mini angle-grinder for stones) are sold separately. No disclaimer shown on that. 2- The extra bit set was nearly as expensive as the pen itself. 3- The extra bit set looked like it came from AliExpress. The same cheap bubble-wrap bag, no branding visible anywhere, the address sticker telling me it came from Shanghai. 4- Bad quality. After only a few days of use, the bits became rusty. 5- The batery only lasts for a few minutes. 6- After complaining to the customer service about all the above, they gave me a refund... of €8,33! That didn't even cover the shipping costs. UPDATE: After this review, they did offer me a full refund, and for that reason I'm now raising my review to 2 stars. My experience with the Customer Service team was positive, with quick replies and empathy from their part. However, if the product itself is subpar, Customer Service alone is not enough to make Culiau stand on its two feet.

Arrived promptly and with all the extras I had ordered BUT I charged it up TO FULL and worked with it testing out different surfaces Plastic, paper, rubber for about 10 mins total, then the battery ran out. If the pen cannot hold a charge for more than 10 minutes of very light use then its no use to me. I have to say I'm very disappointed.

Utterly unresponsive. I sent a message to customer services with a very straightforward question. Other than a toe curling cheerful auto response the silence has been deafening. My follow-up chaser has also been ignored. Don't rely on a response from this company if you do have a problem with the product. You could be waiting a very long time. Against my better judgement I have ordered - I just hope the product works as I don't think I'd have much chance of any help from them if it doesn't.
