Classic bait and switch scam.
1) Sep 7: Initial order (#312597) for 2xWD Red Pro Drives $785.25 each. 2) Sep 15: they send a FedEx tracker (520240997918). It is strange because it shows that it was shipped from SAINT PETERS, MO, while they are supposedly based in Covina CA. They also sent it suspiciously AFTER it was supposedly picked up and delivered! The tracker does not allow me to see which address it was exactly delivered to, only the City and State, which matches my city and state. When I report a missing package on fedex it prompts for a masked @yahoo email. And not mine. 3) Sep 15-16: they started calling and emailing me frantically to “follow up” if the shipment was delivered. I thought it was bizarre for any e-store to send 3 emails in a day hours and claiming it was delivered when I did not even prompt. Then I got suspicious and tried to locate it with Fedex for many days. They were also pressuring me to rate 5 stars on Trust Pilot so they earn a bonus. Thing is I am using a shipping mailbox forwarder and I thought the forwarding company was not updating the delivery receipts on time. Told them will give the stars once I got the delivery as per spec. 3) Sep 18: I asked for a delivery proof they respond: “ I just received confirmation from our team that, unfortunately, the original shipment was lost.” - yes lost. Showing delivered but lost. Mind you the forwarding company (receiving address) is a single facility with no neighboring homes to be mistaken with. 4) Emma offered replacement for two WD221KFGX drives at increased price of $1,103.84 each!!!! Lol 5) Sep 18 I demanded full refund. 6) Sep 21: They did refund it with reduced amount - I lost around 100 USD due to bank fees and exchange. And a wasted 2 weeks of follow ups. After research and myself being confused on how a fedex package can be faked I realized it is not only possible but common, with shady stores: Using a real, unrelated tracking number: The scammer finds or generates a real FedEx tracking number for a package that was actually shipped to someone else in your same city, zip code, or general neighborhood.

We sincerely apologize for the confusion and frustration this situation caused. We would like to clarify what happened after conducting an internal investigation. Although our company is based in Covina, California, we work with multiple fulfillment centers across the United States. Your order was assigned to one of our fulfillment centers in Saint Peters, Missouri, which is why the tracking information showed Saint Peters, MO as the shipment origin. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the fulfillment center provided us with incorrect/false tracking information. Based on our investigation, the products were not actually shipped as we had been told. The fulfillment center failed to inform us promptly that there was an issue with the inventory lost and instead provided tracking information that initially appeared to show a completed delivery. We were therefore also working with incorrect information when our team contacted you to follow up on the delivery. We sincerely regret that we did not identify the issue sooner and that you had to spend additional time following up with us and FedEx. This was not the experience we intended to provide. We have taken this matter seriously and are reviewing our fulfillment-center procedures to prevent similar situations from happening again. Regarding the replacement price, these drives have been experiencing high demand and limited supply, which has caused prices to increase frequently. However, if you still need the drives, we will work with you to get the lowest possible price through our distribution channel. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
