CT Bids San Antonio
CT Bids San Antonio. I won a coin the size of a nickel. Shipping should be about $5 including insurance. Nope - $20. Then after I complained $16. It's what I paid for the coin. I told them to throw it in the trash.

I've won several items and have not received several of them even after paying for the item and additional shipping. I've emailed the auctioneer asking where my items are, because the main company isn't taking responsibility, and received no response. Invoices are not itemized-they do not state the actual item and when asked to itemize -no response. This is a huge red flag and these people are not honest. Individual shippers are out for themselves. IMO this may be a scam operation and should be investigated. Nick Shirley is needed!

On 6/23/26 We bid and won two items A portable heater and a little filing cabinet CT bid in Mill Creek that is run by Christine Visser. We paid instantly the same day we received the invoice. 6/24/26 The very next day not even 24 hours since we won the bid, We received a call from Christine stating that we did not Come and pick up the item And she had donated it. We told her because it was around 2:00 that day that we come and grab it we didn't receive a notification fair warning nothing that we were supposed to get it ASAP. We asked her where she donated it to and she didn't tell us. We said because we didn't receive the item we wanted a refund. She said she wasn't going to do that And that if we got a hold of our credit card for a chargeback that she would ban us from ever using her site again. This was our first time ever using her site and I would never want to do business with her again because she's not business friendly nor is she trustworthy. Interesting enough on her ctbid web site this week is a heater that looks identical to the one she supposedly donated. I feel as though she didn't get enough money for the one we won and it's up for auction again! buyer beware!!!

Outrageous and excessive shipping costs! If you bid pick up locally best! I would love this site if they pre-disclosed shipping cost and/or negotiated shipping with a specific service provider AND rates were reasonable!

Caveat* EACH FRANCHISE VARIES Beware-Franchise North Tacoma & Gig Harbor, WA-Theresa Murphy-I purchased some things for the shop on CTBids. When I opened the shipment I found some things that were missing, having incorrect proportions, or features. It was a bit confusing because the items were similar, but there was something wrong. I called the company. The woman said that she had personally packed the box and that it was correct. I asked her if she was there when the photos were taken for the auction. She stammered a bit when she told me that she supervised the photo shoot. I asked her to look at each photo as I sent the photos that I took at home. Eventually, she told me that they used AI to stage the items. AI! FFS! They totally misrepresented what they were selling. I also had to explain the use of plurals in descriptions. The number of items was incorrect, the necklines and details of clothing were completely different from the actual pieces, the sizes were distorted drastically. Essentially, the items and quantities were very distorted. While I was happy with some items. I definitely did not receive what was represented. They wanted me to return the items that I did receive for a refund. I put in way too much time on these auction items already. NO. The auction was a fraud. Beware of A.I. misrepresentations now.

As others have stated, the shipping fees are exorbitant and postage charged is far higher than what is quoted by USPS and UPS. I have been scammed twice by two different franchise holders. The parent company will not intervene. CT Western OK falsely labeled contents of an auction as "crystals" and sent a snack sized plastic bag of plastic charms and charged $22 in shipping on a $10 small USPS flat rate box. CT Houston Metro and Sugar Land BROKE an antique mirror and shipped it anyway with no notice. Breakage did not happen in transit. The pieces were collected and placed inside a plastic bag inside the shipping box. Absolutely appalling. I've reached out to the parent company requesting my account be deleted-very interesting I'm not allowed to do this myself. They will only do it if you request it. I will stick to local estate sales.

Horrible horrible horrible company. Shipping fee almost $100 for small items. Return for any reason fee paid is a scam. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!!

I would say less than half a star! Tewksbury and Cincinnati are awful fools. They may have drug problems when considering their reserve pricing…. People need to earn some money off investments and they leave room for only a loss of money. Plus if you are the only bidder, you still can’t get the item if the people running the site are making ridiculous money. Disgusting since it’s not their dead relatives! (Drug problems)
