These people scammed me and I lost 28 dollars. Not enough to take them to small claims - but I am warning you about what they will do. They won't take your calls and Becky Shelton went out of her way to keep me from getting my winning auction items.

South Raleigh/ Fuquay Varina, NC Location: AWESOME experience! Kathy, Betsy, and Sage were so helpful, kind, and understanding! They went above and beyond and I sooooo appreciate it. They are top-notch and I highly recommend them! Can't wait for the next auction.

If you win you are not paying the price you won the bid with. minimum of 18% buyers premium. What exactly is a buyers premium? it is a fee they charge to punish buyers who purchase from them. They will tell you it is to save their sellers money. How would that work? You just caused the bids to be lower because of this ridiculous out of line fee. Then if you want to have the items shipped getting ready to bent over and take it. Purchased two watches from a sale on the other side of the city. They charged $25 for shipping. I complained and the auctioneer gave me the whole sob story of it costs him for packaging materials and to pay an employee to pack it. He charged $10 for packing materials. They were shipped in a 25 cent bubble mailer with one piece of bubble wrap worth about a nickel. I am a seller and I ship items every single day and when I tell you this companies shipping costs are waaaaay out of line you can rest assured they are. I purchased a bunch of rpg games out of South Carolina. The shipping fees were over $400. That is just highway robbery I can ship those same packages using UPS for less than $100. Be very wary when you bid on CTBids and make sure you are figuring all fees in. If you can do a local pickup do so. When i first started bidding on their site some of the franchises did their own shipping and were actually fair priced and tried to give good customer service. Then they all started using Shipping Saint whatever that is and the costs ballooned. I will say the franchise in tacoma did a horrible job of shipping me a couple lots of watches I purchased. they dumped them in a box with very little padding and many of the crystals were broken during shipment. These people have zero concept of what customer service is or means. I have been buying from auctions to resell for nearly 40 years and have never seen it this bad. They do not understand that if you do not give your buyers a fair shake they won't come back and that will be the death knell for their business. I have seen auctioneers come and go and ctbids will not last long if they do not change their methods. I will never recommend this site to anyone else because their set up is pretty much a scam anymore.

They are charging me a $25 Handling fee to TAKE my item to the UPS store. Then, I will be charged shipping fees also. The North Pittsburgh CTbids states that their Handling fee is $10. The email response I received said it's $10 for USPS and $25 for UPS. This company as a whole has many non-disclosure policies and problems. I will NEVER have anything shipped from them again. For the cost of the Handling fee plus shipping, I could probably drive there and back cheaper. So frustrating.

Auction winning bids are set but organizations like Annapolis MD franchise double or triples the shipping charges then states if I don’t pay this crazy amount I forfeit the items. Purchase price $155 for 2 coins. Shipping was $50 after the win. Stay away, stay informed

Been using CTBids for about a year and I have been up and down with them but they finally broke the camels back. Shipping issues gone rogue, fees skyrocket high not worth it anymore and no-to-little communication with some stores. Now they leave shipping to outside vendors meaning they drop off your prized winnings with a third party shipping vendor and you have to pay them over the phone, but they don’t tell you this until you don’t receive your package for a while and get VM’s from shipping company. Horrible company on its way down. They need new management or they need to be bought out by someone who understands customer service

If I could give it a zero……. We all know how that goes right. CTBids shipping is outright theft!!! I bought comics and the bill came to $147. Mind you I bought 2 ham radios before and was charged less. I would stay well away for this scheister of a site. I could have sourced everything and paid less than $147 dollars for it. I thought the ham radios were high, but after seeing the comics. Fool me once, fool twice. May the fleas of a thousand camels rest in the butthole of CTBids!! I pray The Lord curses this company

While ctbids is an auction site is like any other I object to the shipping. Because they are all over you might bid on a remote site that will require shipping . this is where "shipping saint" or as I call it "shipping devil" comes in. you have already paid for the item, how much could shipping cost? They have now and boy are they going to get you. I bought a 1/5 dollar coin and they want over $16 t.o ship it. I bought a pitcher weighting 1.7 and they want over $60. They pray on the buyer.
