I know this review might seem biased and it probably is since I'm writing it after two failed attempts to apply. But here's what I have to say. I do understand that companies are looking for strongest candidates. It's natural to try to do it. However, I'm not sure I understand the policy about all these basic fit questionnaires that don't let you through at all. In real life, it's sometimes OK not to tick one box out of four and still get the job because the rest of your skills and experience is appropriate. The job opening I applied for has been around for a couple of months now. It has been reposted time and again for a couple locations simultaneously. Every time I checked how many people applied, there was about a hundred at least. To be honest, the only impression I get is that no one is really looking for someone to take on that role. Otherwise, they would have lowered their expectations and sifted through the candidates in an old-fashioned way. I'm off looking for a real job with real people.

I would say the application process is fairly streamlined and straightforward. Yes, there are tests and practicals to complete, but if you think the job is right for you, why complain? Where I do want to voice a concern is in the review and response category. I got a response after only a couple of hours of completing my final practical exercise telling me I was not selected to move forward for the position I applied for. Yes, a bit of a heart-smasher, but what bothers me is the turnaround time being so fast. This tells me that there is likely not a human reviewing applications even at this stage and that you are being vetted by their in-house (or external!) AI system. If I'm wrong here, please respond. If I am right, I can see how a lot of talented candidates are falling through the cracks, which is a shame. What I would offer is this: IF the applications are being vetted automatically by your HR-AI, THEN I would suggest training the AI to also give applicants constructive feedback on where they erred in their applications, to better improve the chances of repeat applications making it through to next steps in the process.

PROS The projects are good and challenging (also the payment) CONS The management, intrusion software and unrealistic expectations are not so good...
