Worse service ever In Mesquite Texas! Awful food awful service. Never going back

I usually enjoyed the food with my family once or twice a month at CB. But since the pandemic I haven’t been there until yesterday that was June 30 2021. My son decided that he wanted to eat at Cracker Barrel because we always enjoyed their menu. Well a big surprise there menu has changed a lot has disappeared and our favorites are now gone. So instead of getting up and leave we decide to try something different chicken strips with mashed potatoes and green beans and a house salad. The chicken strips were dry and tough and tasteless The green beans were OK and the mashed potatoes were dry and hard our food was at best warm. The biscuits and corn bread were bricks and crunchy and not edible. Their house salad was the usual OK with smaller amounts of dressing. If this is what Cracker Barrel is now turned into I hate to say I will not be a customer no longer. There are so many restaurants today out there Cracker Barrel has fallen off my list. I used to thoroughly enjoy my visit and the food was great but not any more. Service was fine but not the usual they only checked back to see for refills only after our glasses were completely empty. The restaurant was not busy at the time we were there so no excuse for the meal being warm tasteless and not the regular great value for your money. I will not be back…..

Will not return to Cracker Barrel as they are unable to care of their people and have yet to go back to capacity. Each time over the past couple months I have tried to get in there has been waits that are unreasonable. Not because of over capacity but our management and decision making. I am hopeful that as more and more families become irritated by this and that the momentum of dissatisfied customer expands CB, if they haven’t already sold start feeling the pain. It’s disappointing as this is a staple for many along the I 95 corridor. I won’t come back for this and as other have mentioned the food has slowly deteriorated for efficiencies and cost no doubt.

I've been loving Cracker Barrel since the 80's. However, they must have lowered standards as to food quality and quantity. The biscuits are smaller, the chicken and dumplings gravy is runny, the sausage overcooked and hard, the roast beef fatty and potatoes weird. Not much chicken with the dumplings. Has management changed core values? If it ain't broken don't fix it. Sorry to see this dependable food and quaity so in question.

I usually receive quality food and good portions. Not this evening 6/27/21. I ordered the roast beef, with mashed potatoes, and dumplings. First the mashed potatoes were horrible, they had been sitting for sometime and had became hard and yellowish brown, (uneatable). I received very little roast beef. A child could have eaten more than I received. I received 4 small dumplings. Very disappointed in Cracker Barrel and do not plan on eating there again.

The management in these places are crazy. They are lazy and don't help anyone do anything. They are understaffed and very unprepared. Heard and seen the General Manager at the store in coldsprings ky raising his hands and yelling i didnt sign up for this s…? In front of guest and employess. I feel really sorry for who works there and i wont be back to another cracker barrel restaurant ever. No class no nothing. Wheres the great hospitality and treat you like home attitude they say there all about??

I have a Cracker Barrel gift card that has never been used. I called their customer service number to confirm the $10 balance. Normally if the card comes with a pin number, this is done by entering the gift card number and pin number on a phone's keyboard and getting the balance from a robot voice recording. My card did not come with a pin, so the recording said "Transaction Declined" instead of confirming the balance. I tried to call a live customer service representative. Five times on different days during their business hours I stayed on hold, waiting in a queue for my turn to talk with a live human being. No one ever picks up, and after twenty minutes they disconnect the call. Cracker Barrel also lets you give your phone number and record your name so that a customer service rep can call you back. I did this about eight different times during a two week period. Someone did call back each time, hours later, but as soon as I picked up my phone and said hello, the call was disconnected on their end. In addition to my name, I once left my gift card number and reason for calling when prompted to record. Their website's contact form has not brought a reply either, so they have no customer service whatsoever at their call/contact center. A potential customer can only conclude that Cracker Barrel treats its customers with contempt.

Pretty good, the service was nice and the food was good but I’ve had better.
