Some provide doses of vitamin B12 that are higher than recommended amounts, such as 500 mcg (like us) or 1,000 mcg, but your body absorbs only a small percentage of it. These doses are considered safe because only about 10 mcg of a 500mcg oral supplement is actually absorbed in healthy people. We want you to have what you need and consider the actual amount that your body will use. Also, excess B vitamins (water soluble) are simply passed out of your body daily.
