Cautionary Tale
I signed up for a short trial of Copy Mind and was exploring subscription options when the trial ended. There was a yearly plan for $260 and a small button nearby labeled “breakdown.” While trying to tap that, I accidentally hit the subscribe button. There was no confirmation step—my payment was processed immediately with no chance to review or cancel. I contacted them right away to explain that this was an accidental purchase. I also mentioned that I recently had hand surgery and am currently wearing a splint, which made it difficult to use my phone accurately. At first, they indicated they could help if I provided the correct email address tied to the account. After doing so, I was then told they do not offer refunds on annual subscriptions. I was actually impressed with parts of the platform during the trial and would have considered continuing on a shorter plan. However, the lack of flexibility and the way this situation has been handled has left me feeling disappointed. I’m still waiting to hear back from someone after the issue was escalated, but so far the experience has not been great. 4/8/06 I initially wrote to your customer service people immediately after this happened on 4/5. I provided Kayla with all the relevant information and she said it would take several days for them to get back to me. It's now been three full days and I haven't heard a word back. Due to my issues with the hand surgery and splint, and limited hand use, I would think other people with ability differences might have similar issues. I saw in another review that the head of Customer Service reached out to someone else and saw the problem immediately, but I have yet to hear a thing. 4.16.26 I finally received a refund for my accidental yearly subscription purchase. I’m happy they responded to my request and understood that I had issues with dexterity due to hand surgery. Thus all could have been avoided with a confirm screen before processing payment!

We’re really sorry to hear about your experience — especially given your situation after hand surgery. We understand how something like this could happen and how frustrating it must feel. We’d like to clarify that the annual upgrade is completely optional. It’s shown with clear pricing and is only activated after a direct confirmation — there is no automatic enrollment or forced upgrade on our side. That said, we understand this may not have been your intention, and situations like this can happen. We’re also truly sorry if the way your case has been handled so far felt disappointing — that’s never the experience we want to create. At the moment, we’re unable to locate your case without the email linked to your account. Please reach out to our support team with those details, and we’ll make sure to review everything carefully and work toward a fair resolution. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
