I had ordered a pair for cosmetic use only, with non-prescription lenses. But the lenses came with brand-name lettering along the bottom, which took some work to erase before I could wear the glasses.

Hi William,
Unfortunately that is not something that we can control, as the lenses ship from the manufacture already installed in the frame, with their brand name on them, anticipating that they will be removed for prescription purposes. That said, in the future we would be happy to install blank lenses for you. Just let us know :)
Thanks!

Great website, poor execution behind the scenes
A plus was their acceptance of Amazon payment services, saves some time and engenders some trust. I don't think Amazon is really doing them a favor though, swift attention and execution of an order is a hallmark of Amazon, and a critical reason I shop there. Coolframes had my order for two weeks (ten business days) and still hadn't made my glasses when I called them. I cancelled the order. I gladly paid the 20.00 cancellation fee that they charge for doing nothing. The charge was in accordance with the agreement I electronically agreed to, and is a clear condition on their website. They did swiftly answer my emails, except for the one cancelling my order, when I asked to know a date they might be finished. The answer was, twice, a quote of their published website "7-10 business days". Well, THAT was a lie. Local optometrist gets things in 5-7 business days, Costco about the same, you figure with their claim that the own their production facility they could do better. If the Amazon payment services wasn't there, I doubt I would have ordered. As it is, I might get my payment back (minus 20 dollars) sometime this month, because while they immediately charged my card for the glasses, they do not apparently do a refund in any manner closely resembling their zeal to acquire it.
Their reviews and testimonials are full of "I got my order within six days" yet another deception. I doubt these people exist. Thought my wait I was a model customer, complained about nothing and made no demands. It makes one wonder who exactly gets their order inside of 10 business days, since my fairly simple order still hadn't been filled in that time frame, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for my refund.

Order was trouble from the beginning
First, I couldn't add my prescription on their site due to their site limitations. I've been able to do this on several other sites successfully. So I sent it in after calling and being told my prescription was "weird" (professional). I placed the order and then my frames were suddenly out of stock. Ok, picked some other with a discount. Asked for the receipt reflecting the discount. Was told it would be sent when they shipped. It wasn't. I had to ask. I get my glasses and the prescription is wrong. Since I needed them ASAP - I had to go local to fix them. Local eye doctor said they did a minus instead of a plus. Cost me $95 to fix. I emailed them and was told the prescription was put in incorrectly by one customer service rep (Mia) - to which I refreshed her memory by forwarding the email chain. The next rep (Eli) was trying to be helpful but said he could only refund the $19 lenses. I asked for an alternative. Got Mia again who continued with the "customer is not always right" tone. I told her to consult with Eli. So these nice frames that were discounted ended up costing me more than where they were regular price due to this who disaster of an ordering process. Never again.
