The lens manufacturing process can take up to 3-5 business days to make the lenses, and our opticians cut, and install them in your frames at our lab. They are then inspected to verify the prescription and check for any defects on the frames/lenses. Thank you for giving us a try! We are very glad to hear that you are enjoying the new glasses, but are sorry to hear about the issue with the local postal carrier. The free standard shipping does utilize the local postal carrier and their delivery times are unfortunately not guaranteed. This was made explicit in our shipping rates (and estimated shipping times), but perhaps it could have been made abundantly clear that Standard Shipping may take up to 5-7 business days. Alternatively, we do also offer an upgraded (for an additiona cost) DHL World Wide Express that is 1-3 Business day delivery time anywhere in the world. Your order should have come with a Cool Cash (Gift Card) balance that can be applied toward a future purchase. Hi Samantha, We offer CoolFrames.co.uk as an alternative to CoolFrames.com to give our UK customers a better experience by offering a local telephone number and pricing in Pounds instead of Dollars. Our intent is certainly not to mislead anyone into thinking we are a UK company. We do clearly indicate in numerous locations during checkout that orders ship from the United States and customs charges may apply for orders shipped internationally.
