Hi Fabz, We responded to this same review you left on other platforms, but we'll also respond here. Without more information, we can't review your intake file to assess whether you were working with us and whether we could have changed anything about the circumstances of your initial review. Having said that, when you work with a law firm on a financial and credit-related matter, providing your Social Security Number is par for the course. If you have a data dispute, your correct data (including SSN) has to be identified and matched against the mistakes, and relevant information has to be gathered. Hi Consumer, Without identifying information, we can’t cross reference your post with a client intake. But we’ll try to clear up what we can, generally. We DO help with consumer reporting errors involving The Retail Equation, but only those that fall within the purview of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. So sometimes, despite how frustrating your dealings with The Retail Equation are, it isn’t necessarily considered an actionable claim by our legal intake team. We encourage you to take your potential claim to another law firm to see if it falls within the scope of cases they might pursue. Our legal blog provides information regarding common problems with The Retail Equation, including discussing methods of proactively protecting yourself (if possible), offering insight into the dispute process, and mentioning that some consumers have sought relief through a class action.
