After being denied job after job due to inaccurate background checks, I was left frustrated and confused. How could I find work if I kept being denied because of false information on my consumer reports? So, what did I do? I contacted Consumer Attorneys and worked with Dawn McCraw to get these inaccuracies corrected. Dawn went beyond just fixing my inaccuracies; she even contacted other credit reporting agencies to ensure they would correct my background check before I applied for my current job. Thanks to Dawn's efforts, I was able to find work. As consumers, we have to stand up for our rights against these Credit Reporting Agencies. I am grateful to Consumer Attorneys for the work they did. Absolutely a waste of time
Absolutely a waste of time. First off, I contact this company for a case against an internet/cable company for reporting false information to a credit agency. They kept calling it a scam when I gave them clear evidence. They do the absolute bare minimum. I took this suit to another attorney and they accepted with no questions asked. The new Attorney knew how to put 2 and 2 together.

We earned our reputation as a leader in the credit reporting world through skill, diligence, and client trust. Our records show you did not sign a retainer agreement with our firm, so you were never a client. However, we conducted a lengthy and detailed investigation to clarify the facts and determine if and how our firm could assist you, remaining prompt, responsive, thorough, and persistent throughout.
You contacted us on Oct. 30, 2023, via online chat. We discussed the basic facts and followed up with a voicemail and phone call the very next day (Oct. 31, 2023), in which we requested copies of your credit reports. Our intake specialist stated that sometimes debt collection schemes are actually advanced scams. (Ruling out that you were being targeted for a scam is due diligence on our part and appropriately protective of you.) During the month of November, we spoke with you twice and also followed up with you via voicemails, text messages, and emails on five separate occasions, but you didn’t provide your credit reports until Nov. 30, 2023. Immediately after receiving and reviewing the reports, we joined you in a phone call to the collection agency (on Dec. 1, 2023) to request debt verification documents. We followed up with you four times throughout December and early January to see if you’d received anything from the debt collectors, but we didn’t receive a response from you until January 5, 2024. You confirmed that you hadn’t received the debt verification and that the account still didn’t appear on your credit reports. Despite this, one of our attorneys still devised a strategy to try to help you, and we requested additional documentation, but you stopped engaging altogether.
Notably, since it’s our policy to never bill anyone for out-of-pocket expenses, we never sought nor received money for the time, energy, and effort we put into your situation. While we believe unfailingly in the skill, dedication, and professionalism of our lawyers and legal staff, we can’t do it alone. Representing someone in a matter that directly impacts them is a shared commitment. We’re happy to hear that you worked with someone to resolve your situation.

This "business" is a joke
A fourth grader could do a better job. Here's why: they have these intake consultants that cannot collect accurate assessments (even after you put it in writing and spell it out). They harassed me for weeks to make an appointment, only to learn they had me mixed up with another client and sent the other client's sensitive information to me. They text, call, and email you nonstop. I was always polite and professional until I had enough today. Stay away from a service that can't keep client information confidential. I'm sure the poor client whose information was given to me (more than once) would not appreciate his personal records and details shared. The attorneys that I did eventually speak with were not very helpful or knowledgeable. After working with this business for months, I get an email today (that actually was my information) and it confirmed they never understood the facts to begin with. They CANNOT HANDLE complex situations.

Excellent Experience with Consumer Attorneys
This is the second time I have used Consumer Attorneys assistance and both times, I have had nothing but an excellent experience.
