"Conns" is right
Lies from corporate: They say I turned down delivery. I asked them to let me see if I could fit it in my car before I decide. They say ok and break it while putting it in the car. Long story short once we determined the tv wouldn't fit and decided upon delivery, the manager shoves it in the car damaging the TV and guess who this falls on? Example of lies from my pushy salesman: After applying and getting approved I was called by a salesman. He said he was going to a funeral so I couldn't buy the tv the next day from him. I came at 7pm that night and he was already gone. Came the next day to exchange an item and guess who's working? The prices look good until you see the contract. They'll charge you 100%+ in interest and try to get you to breeze through the contract. A $1200 tv turns into $2500 The extended warranty does not cover accidental damage and hasn't since 2015 but the employees will tell you that it does. Yelp Review: Do Not Shop Here. Together we can end predators like Conns for good by not giving them the money they so desperately need. It may seem tempting but I promise you'll regret it. They are predatory loan sharks and once you get the contract you are stuck for life even if they sell you broken merchandise. Save your money or go to Aaron's or Rent-A-Center if you need to finance with no credit check. The reason why they finance you at conns with a lower credit score (mid to low 600's) is because they know that they can trap you and you have to pay it off or deal with harassment. This TV was bought November 29th so I haven't had to make payments yet but I'm already having issues with them 2 weeks later so I trust the other reviewers on this point. Edit in response to Conns: Addressed accordingly = Telling customers that you won't help them in private and then trying to make yourself look better on Google reviews by vaguely referring to the fact that you never solved my problem. Thanks but no. Potential shoppers this answer from Conns is how they get you to shop here. They stab you in the back in private and say that they addressed it accordingly in public. What a joke. Original review: Don't let the reviews lie to you. Predatory prices $999 for an Xbox one X? $699 for a Nintendo Switch? Check the BBB and yelp before you shop here. I'm sure not all of the 5 star reviews are fake but do remember that there are several lawsuits out against Conns for shady business practices. They won't be in business much longer due to these so they are trying to screw as many people over as they can before they go out of business. Do your RESEARCH!!!! Also don't sign anything without reading every word of the agreement. Even if you exchange something and the salesmen tells you it's the same agreement. There is a clause in the contract that tries to prevent you from suing them. You are signing away your right to sue and if you have an issue you have to go through and arbiter that they provide. (shady)Don't buy the warranty if they tell you it covers damage as it doesn't but they use accidental damage as a sales tactic. The warranty especially for TVs only covers the what manufacturers warranty covers as well as a free remote if yours breaks. It's good if you are looking to extend the warranty but good luck getting the repair guy to believe you. Also to the people who respond to these reviews from Conns. You are lying. You do not further investigate anything. You type it to ease the mind of potential customers. I was one of those customers and I made the mistake of believing that you help people who are having issues. It's a publicity stunt. The customer service department does not help you. The managers in customer service are also rude and hang up on you and guess what? If you have a problem with the way the customer service manager treats you, they won't escalate to a higher manager. Buy here and you are trapped until your contract is up. Don't let the reviews on google fool you into making the same mistake I did. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Research Conns Lawsuit, Conns Class action lawsuit, Conns BBB complaints (Also don't bother complaining to the BBB about Conns. They lie to the BBB in their response so that they don't have to help. These people are Conns through and through.
