I’ve been a RetailMeNot user for years, but this experience completely changed my opinion of the service. I made a purchase after activating a cashback offer and followed the process as intended. The cashback was never credited, and when I reached out for support, I was told there was no record of activation. From that point on, it was nothing but copy-and-paste responses. No real investigation, no effort to review the transaction in good faith, just repeated scripted replies about tracking and eligibility. Even after escalating the issue through a BBB complaint, I received the same generic responses with no willingness to take accountability or offer a reasonable resolution. They claim manual payouts are possible, yet refuse to apply any discretion when their own system fails to track properly. I have never had this issue with other cashback services, which makes this even more frustrating. If the tracking fails, the customer is left with no support and no recourse. I’ve lost trust in this platform and will be using other cashback services going forward. If you’re expecting reliable cashback and actual customer service, I would strongly reconsider using RetailMeNot.

Just like several other customers they are prolonging my cash back for no reason whatsoever. I supposed to have received it yesterday. The representative name is Paige. She always ask me to verify the purchase after it has already been verified. I verified it today several times and she basically ignored me and didn't give me my cash back. Then i tried to submit a ticket over the web and was blocked. This company needs to be sued for bad business practices. Im also filing a complaint with Cfpb.Gov and my Attorney General. This is ridiculous.

let me try and be short to get to the point signed up for Verizon mobile and home Internet I was informed that I would receive a payment of $175 and a 75-day cashback offer on the 70th day. However, the offer has disappeared from my profile on the website. Using the customer service AI application available on the retail website, I was able to retrieve the tracking and account numbers. Despite providing correct information that matches my statements and what the customer support AI system acknowledged, I keep being told that I am providing incorrect details. Additionally, on the same day I activated a new phone and internet service through the RetailMeNot deal, but these transactions did not occur. It appears to be a misunderstanding or mistake, and I feel as though I am being unfairly portrayed as unreliable. The earliest available information they require is what I have provided, and I am prepared to report this issue via email. At this point, I am indifferent about the monetary aspect; my concern is the process itself. It seems as though they are collecting personal information without properly compensating users, effectively stealing data under the guise of legitimate offers. They appear to be dismissing any accountability and shifting blame onto the user, which I find unacceptable and unprofessional.

Too difficult of a redemption process.

If you try to use their cashback promos, even within their terms of service (7x per merchant, 20x a month), you might get suspended. Remember, they're owned by Ziff Davis. They're not afraid to take all the commission for themselves.

I used this cashback service regularly for a long time. For context, they’re not doing this out of goodwill - they earn affiliate commissions when you make purchases through their links, and share a portion back as cashback. About 7–8 months ago, their automated cashback tracking stopped working for me entirely. I followed all the required steps exactly as I did before but nothing tracked. To their credit, they did issue some manual payouts at first - which I appreciated - but that’s also just honoring what was already promised through their ads online. Now, despite me continuing to follow the same process, they’ve stopped issuing manual payouts. Instead, they keep insisting it’s not their fault and repeatedly send troubleshooting steps I’ve already tried multiple times. Further, I have tried different browsers, devices, merchant sites, etc.. Nothing has worked. At this point, I’m done. If the system doesn’t track and they won’t honor purchases manually, the service simply doesn’t deliver on what it advertises. They are possibly just not paying it out and getting an affiliate link. It all sounds shady , I'd stay far away. EDIT- lol, their reply basically is the same as they've been telling me through email, that it's somehow my fault despite me doing the same thing I've always done and even following their instructions to "fix it". STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Way to many hoops to confirm a purchase with both LlBean and Hotwire. Definitely not worth the effort. I’ve switched to Rakuten. So far they’ve handled things more smoothly.
