I had emergency surgery in late December that left me with a colostomy. I was given very good care by my home nurse, helping me deal with and learn how to change my ostomy bag. After he was released, I was put in contact with an ostomy supply service (NOT Comfort Medical) that was supposed to deliver me prompt and simple service. However, they proved to be very difficult to work with and kept making mistakes with the insurance information I gave them. Even though the customer service seemed friendly and would tell me everything will be fine, it wasn't and the service kept being terrible and frustrating. The same mistake made several times. I just didn't trust them. As I got close to running out of supplies, I began to really worry that I would run out and be stuck with no bags. What do I do then? I was starting to get very, very concerned. So I googled "ostomy supplies" and found Comfort Medical. From the moment I registered my information to the day my supplies were delivered (which was very fast) I felt in good, honest hands. Everyone and everything was excellent. The registration was simple, the Comfort Medical team kept in daily contact with me and I had a customer service rep. help me find some additional supplies that I was unaware of needing. They helped me through the process as if I were a good friend and were always clear and helpful. Being new at knowing the specific needs and tips of having an ostomy, Comfort Medical made my life easier and therefor, much less stressful. Having an ostomy is stressful enough...not having bags to change could have been tragic. Thank you Comfort Medical...you saved me!!!
