Overall, working with Collegewise was a great experience! My college counselor, Matt Doyle, was a vital asset when it came time to apply to colleges. I never felt behind in any of the process because of the schedule that was set for me, and there was a lot of time spent one on one brainstorming on my essays. Matt and I got to know each other a lot in this process, and his ability to understand who I was and what I wanted really helped in the process!

I worked with Jon, and he was by far the best tutor I have ever had. His breaks everything down to a simple level and explains everything thoroughly, so you can understand the entire concept rather than just memorizing. He tutored me in AP Physics, and it was insanely helpful. I did very well in the class, and I owe it all to Jon

Collegewise has been helping me throughout my junior year with SATs, classwork, and the college application process. Jon Tarella was my math tutor for AP Statistics, Precalculus, AP Calculus BC, and the SAT math section. It was overall a great experience having him as my tutor and he helped me get an 800 in the math section is the SAT. Jon also helped me prepare for the AP Stat exam and earn a 5. He is also really positive and often cracks jokes during tutoring sessions, relieving some of the pressure.

Jon tutored my daughter over this past year in AP Statistics. She started the year off getting D's and C's on the tests, so I quickly enlisted Jon's help. He brought her up to B's on tests. He explained the topics clearly, made notes for her, and had her practice similar problems ensuring success. He was able to find her weaknesses and focus on those as well. He sent me monthly emails letting me know how she is progressing and giving tips to help her succeed. Jon is a great tutor, confidently knows the material, and has helped my daughter immensely.

When I started the College Wise process, I was greeted by reassurance, attentive listening, and warmth during my conversation with program advisor Jackie Muralla, who matched me with Caitlin and a few other counselors. Caitlin was a supportive guide throughout every step of the otherwise stressful, intimidating college process. I entered the application process the summer before my senior year, and many other college counselors I interviewed with were reluctant to take me on as a client because of this. Neither Jackie or Caitlin ever insinuated that I was "late in the game," instead responding promptly to every email or question I had. I also appreciated Caitlin's approach of encouraging me to take the reins for many of the steps and decisions involved. Aside from a good experience with my counselor, I was a bit disappointed in certain aspects of the editing process for my personal and supplemental essays. I completely understand that the editors have an enormous amount of essays to edit at a quick turnaround rate, but I felt that their suggested edits often lost sight of what I intended to convey in my essays. For the price we paid, I did feel that some of the editing process was a bit rushed.

Tanner is so baller he raised my scores by 5 points and makes tutoring fun.

I am so glad I found collegewise to help me with my application process. I started senior year completely lost on where to start and where to apply, but once I started meeting with Annie she explained everything calmly. She helped me sort through possible topics and essays and made sure my ideas were properly expressed. She was with me every step of the way and made the college application process a lot less overwhelming.

We were hesitant to hire a college advisor and yet we were so happy with the process and results. Not only did our daughter absolutely love her counselor Brenna, but this process and her counsel really helped Kate not only get through this process with little stress, successfully getting acceptances from schools we believed would be great for her, but it also helped us to just enjoy the process with her and not get too involved. Brenna provided direction and checked in on her, but at the same time just got her excited about the process and alleviate the pressure and anxiety of it all. We're huge Collegewise fans and thankful we had Brenna with us on Kate's journey.
