I’m extremely dissatisfied
I’m extremely dissatisfied with how my daughter was given less than a week notice that her coach would be leaving. I had used the service for approximately 3 months my daughter built a relationship with the coach. I was seeing quite a difference in her life for the positive. I had recommended the program to others. I can’t understand how sorry helps my daughter who had just opened up to someone then have it taken away so abruptly. In her words she said she doesn’t want another coach because she’s built trust to now have it taken away so suddenly. I understand the situation with the coach having to pursue her career and needing to leave the company that’s not the issue. The issue is the lack of honesty from Mike saying the coaches are consistent and long term and rarely changes so that the child has consistency with the coach. My daughter expressed having to talk to her school counselor just to get help dealing with this sudden change. I specifically asked that she be matched with someone who was going to be able to be consistent in the program. That didn’t happen. Now her anxiety is worse a total set back. Sorry doesn’t cut cut it. I wish I never signed up. This is a warning to others. I was refunded however how does this help my daughters mental well-being I now have to encourage her to trust again such a disappointment. I received several calls to start program from Mike day and night, and I’ve yet to hear from him regarding this situation. Where’s the concern now?

Hi Shirel, You’re right – “Sorry” doesn’t change the fact that the amazing relationship your daughter built with her coach and that connection came to an unexpected end. We were devastated when Jessica, your daughter’s coach, decided to leave. But we were also excited for her, because she had just been given an incredible opportunity. Each coach that joins the Coachbit team becomes a vital part of the work we do in supporting students, and it’s always difficult when they leave, because they are amazing people. We worked closely with coach Jessica from the moment we found out she was leaving. Our priority was the students in Jessica’s care and we fought to keep coach Jessica as long as possible so that she could help her students transition to a new coach as well as possible. When you and I first spoke, I mentioned that coaches work consistently with their students. Coachbit has sought to build a team that is dedicated to supporting the students we work with and committed to walking a journey with them for the long-term. I am proud to say that I have never worked with a team of colleagues who are more invested in their students’ success – all of our coaches, including coach Jessica, go above and beyond to ensure the very best coaching. I know the refund, the various phone calls and emails from our team will not make up for the loss and I am sorry that we’ve only been able to connect via phone a couple of days after the fact. My hope is that your daughter will take all the good she’s gained and build forward through this challenge. Sincerely, Mike Cheney on behalf of the Coachbit team
