Bad experience for me. I contacted the company, made an appointment, but was called the day before to cancel because the designer "called in sick". The appointment was rescheduled, about a month later. Guess what? The day before the next appointment, I was called and again, the appointment was canceled for the same reason, the designer "called in sick". What's the chances of that happening? Poor service and I will never use this company. Something just isn't right. There has to be some reason why the designer canceled twice for the same reason. Maybe she didn't want to service me. Sadly, I declined a third appointment and moved on. Is this really a reputable company? What company wouldn't like to make a sale?

Closets by Design is just NOT a reputable company. They CONSTANTLY lie about their product and services. They schedule appointments they wont keep. They schedule two separate appointments and did not call, in both instances, to say they could not keep the appointment and that is AFTER we paid workers to empty the closets in both cases. Had to pay the workers to put back everything in the closets again twice without Closets by design calling to say they could not keep the appointments. Now there is no way of knowing if/when Closets By Design will ever show up to install the closets. Very lousy company!! They don't care about service after the sale has been made. Stay away!!

We paid for the installation of two closets. One closet is correct, and the other closet is damaged and unusable. The blueprint shows plenty of space to open the center drawers. We have a voicemail to prove that Closets by Design caught this issue and offered a resolution. The resolution was not implemented, and I was on video meetings for work and could not check the work. We called the same day to let them know that the drawers are unusable.The manager refuses to address their planning error and installation mistake. We attempted to resolve within the 3 day window, but we left messages and never got a call back. I will leave this as a 1 star review until the merchant resolves this.

I had my pantry/laundry room re-done and what I designed was not what I got. Being in the laundry room I wanted everything to be raised off the floor so water would not damage the cabinets should anything happen with the washer, well that didn't happen. When I talked to them, I was told my insurance would cover it, not the point! I wanted them off the floor to avoid that. I have a water cooler in the corner and had 2 shelves built over them, I'm still waiting on the 2nd shelf, not to mention the side walls have about 100 predrilled holes. When asked about that, I was told it was for availability. It's a water cooler no need for availability, they said they would bring "fast caps" to cover the holes which I found out are stickers and not a plastic plug, which means if they aren't perfectly aligned it will look even worse. I've always lived by it's not how the problem happened; it's how it's going to be fixed. So far that hasn't happened and no resolution to this issue. A month Later they finally get me my 2nd shelf, which was cut wrong and had to be re-cut to fit my shelving. Then when they replaced the walls with all the hole to solid panels, they drilled what holes i needed on the wrong side so when installed the raw side would show. They had to go all the way back to the shop an hour away to get that corrected. Then I find out they didn't cap off the top so there are openings on the top part and when I placed a good Crystal vase in that area, it came crashing to the floor and no way to clean it up because there is no way to get to it without taking the whole thing apart. Unbelievable!!

We hired them to install a double closet. Wait time was long for installation. Should not have to wait 2-3 months to install a closet. Closet half installed and now no contact! No one returns our calls, installers said that they would call Monday to reschedule to complete but it could be a few weeks to months. What an I supposed to do with half a closet and everything removed from the closet in bins in the way? Poor craftsmanship, poor quality, dishonest employees. Find another company! Regret this decision! Wish I would have read reviews first.

We decided to have our new master bedroom closets installed by closets by design. Ordered in March, had to wait until June for an install date. Had to push the date due to the floor not being installed. They gave us a new date of September. I cancelled the order. They came back and offered an August date. They came out to install and they did not listen to what we expected. Came back the next day and still incorrect. Worked from 11 AM until 9 pm not complete, unsure who or when a team will finish! Company lies about the work that will get completed and the way it will be completed. They do not listen to the customer. They want to do it only their way.

I had Closets by Design install two closets for us. One was a pantry, the other was a cedar closet. There was a section of closet shelves that I was offered by the insataller the opportunity to shift its location a few inches. I opted for the shift. However, that caused the cedar panel that was to be installed next to that section to be too narrow for the space where it was supposed to go. After weeks of waiting, an installer came to place the new cedar panel on the wall. It was the wrong color and did not match the rest of the panels. The supply chain had become a problem, so I had to wait for them to get more cedar. I finally received a call to set a date for the panel to finally be installed. A few days before it was to be installed I received a call that the panel had not arrived, and the caller wasn't sure why an install date had even been scheduled. Over time, I made several calls to check to see if the panel was in. I finally received an email telling me that it was in and a date was already scheduled without consulting with me. I wasn't going to be available on that date, so I called to change it. A new date was scheduled. On that date, the window of time they gave me for the arrival of the installer came and went, and when I called office to check if he was still coming, I was told they were short handed and no one could come on that day. No one bothered to call me to tell me that no one was coming. Our installation was rescheduled for today. I had little hope that today would be the magic day, and low and behold, the window of time came and went and no one showed up, and no phone call to tell me so. I called the company and asked for the manager I had been dealing with. I was told she was in a meeting, and she would call me back as soon as she was done. Of course, that didn't happen. I called again. She was on a call and would call me as soon as she was off the phone. No call. It was 5 minutes to closing time when I called again. I had to leave a message. Buyer beware. This company is not reputable, not reliable, and offers poor customer service.

After spending almost 15,000$ to remodel 2 walking closets, pantry and laundry room you would think you get what you paid for. This company sent a lady to help measure and design all the rooms, BUT after some months of waiting for material, they said they ready for install. They come and only install part of a room, we ask about this and that, they just say back logged. Our pantry was redesigned WITHOUT our knowledge or permission, they make it like it was our fault. I told them if it was not going to k fit the way WE wanted then YOUR DESIGN LADY should had said so. They brought cheap handles for the drawers and cabinets, and told us if we want better ones we need to go buy. 15000$ and they bring plastic handles WOW. They get rude on phone and then with out the job being complete they try to withdraw rest of the money... JOKE ON THEM, I had froze the account. POOR customer service, and I got a free consult and was advised to get a DETAILED invoice, AHHH THEY WOULD NOT SEND... only what was owed. I know we did not get what we paired for, PLEASE use someone else or get DeTAILED INVOICE BEFORE paying, do not pay influx till your job is done to YOUR satiation NOT theirs. You work hard for your money, DONT PAY FOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, and cheap products, its been about 8 months and STILL waiting for a DETAILED inventor, they know they over charged and I did not get all We discussed with the designer.
