Not a good skincare line at all!!! I was 27 (I'm 29 now) when I used this skincare, and have tried most of the products in City Beauty's range. I stopped using a year later when I was 28, because there was no improvement and it made my skin worse. The cleanser was VERY drying, none of the moisturizers really gave the hydration that my skin needed, and I noticed no difference using the eye creams (my dark circles and bags were still quite prominent) or serums either (I still had enlarged pores, dull and slack skin, as well as an uneven skin tone). However, what did happen was my adult acne got worse and my skin became the driest and most dull I have ever known it to be... Now notice, I was only 27 - meaning I was still quite young, however, experiencing fine lines and sagging skin. The point that I wish to make though is that if this did not work for me at the age of 27 where I had/have only fine lines and some loose skin, then sorry ladies, if you are older and/or have quite mature skin, then don't even bother wasting your time on these products!! I believe a good portion of the expensive pricing goes on the attractive packaging and advertising, but when you get to the actual products and ingredients themselves, they are worthless, and just make your skin worse. Also, for anybody who doesn't know, when you come across skincare that has a heavy or perfumed scent (which the City Beauty products do), it usually means it is not good for your skin - there really should be little to no scent at all... Now this is an honest review with a most sincere opinion, I promise! I have put it here to stop other women from buying something that one, is not good for your skin and does not work, and two, is really quite expensive and way too overpriced, considering the false marketing and useless value you get from the products themselves. I only gave the products the 1 star above because I had to in order to place a review, but if the option was there to give these products no stars at all, then that's what I would have done. In mid October I ordered the uplifting serum, I later read a review on this site, about another product containing formaldehyde, and was concerned enough to email Victoria Renee and ask about this in relation to the range in general. There was no response. I managed to get a prompt refund only after making it known to City Beauty that I had contacted the financial ombudsman. I emailed on 28 November asking what purification measures they have to control levels of 1,4 dioxane in their products; this is a by product that is known to be potentially carcinogenic and has been associated with breast cancer. Many cosmetic and skin care companies have to take steps to keep levels within legally permitted limits. My email was courteous and non confrontational, I also explained that I am a breast cancer survivor and so, I am wary of levels of this contaminant. The reply received the following day was a 'blanket' reply that is sent out to people who have requested to close their account. It was totally irrelevant, I never started an account and had made no mention of one. My question had been totally disregarded and now I believe they would prefer to behave as if I don't exist. It says a lot about them.

I purchased skin dark spot corrector. Returned after one week as you have 45 days to return. This is from the day of order placed. Still no refund 20 days later, they won’t answer emails. Had to go through CC to raise dispute and refund. Pls beware .. Sales Order #CB5123270 Funny how you saw this review but cannot answer my emails.. ver poor.. UPDATE. I have received an email saying my refund will be in my account between 5/10 days however, they have deducted £10 off for postage. I paid £4.20 to send the cream back. As it states when buying: This coming from a company that promises no hassles, no questions asked, no problems and 100% refund guarantee. Total rip off.. Barclays are now dealing with it.

This company took money off my card for products i did not order I only wanted skin care cream they then added on loads of additional items after i checked out total cost of approximately £400 when i immediately contacted them to say I do not want the items they put into my checkout the reply was Its too late to cancel the order Yet i contacted them Immediately I told my visa company and Im having to now go for a refund and reported them as a fraudulent company based on my experience I would advise DO NOT use them Gail Harris 13 elmpark drive telford

I would not buy from this company. You cannot get an answer from them or acknowledgement of a complaint. I made an order which they charged and delivered. the then sent me a duplicate order and charged. I could not understand why they think I would need 6 tubes of this cream when you supposedly need only a minute amount each time you use it now has cost me nearly £200 pounds. Is one of those companies that work on automatic renewal, surely they have to have the customer authorisation for this. I have asked my bank to block any further charges from them.

The delivery was prompt and I was excited to get it. But....wow this stuff stings and I need my lips pampered, not irritated and sore. I read the ingredients...which I should have done before I ordered...and so many irritating things in this. Lemon this and that and Ylang Ylang! Yikes! I had to try it to know I wanted to return, and return policy is so obnoxious, it is not worth it

I bought the City Beauty Multi-Action Sculpting Cream from City Beauty. After applying the cream on my face following their guidelines, I had a severe reaction the following day that made my neck, my face, and particularly around my eyes, swell badly, with bruises, pain and itching. All this landed me to the emergency room at "The Lady of the Lake Emergency Room in Walker, LA. The swollen, pain and itching lasted around 10 days. The company ignored my request to compensate me for my inconvenience showing me a lack of compassion and understanding. Think twice before buying this dangerous product and applying it to your face. Line blurring/wrinkle filler..... I really should know better at my age. The cream is thick and smells nice but as for all the hype of wrinkle disappearance.... FORGET IT Disappointed but life goes on. Will grow old disgracefully and richer for it.
