CS's fee unknown until you make a commitment
I was shocked to find out what CS's commission is. There is nowhere on the site that you can find out how much extra this will cost you, until you have committed to a transporter and your down payment is required. Then you find out it is a whopping 20%! This is double the 10% of the major competing shipper site. A $1000 transport instantly becomes a $1200 transport. That part is fine, as long as you know it ahead of time. I ship puppies all over the US, and I have to know the costs to pass on to my customers *before* I commit to a transport. I will not use Citizen Shipper again.

Hello Bruce, please see the following article https://citizenshipper.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202363429-Standard-Shipping-Fees for our shipping fees. This is available on our site. What you can’t immediately see is that the fee percentage goes down the higher the payment to the driver. Furthermore, before you check out and pay the fee, you will see a total that will be charged. You have, I hope, discussed with your driver what their fee is to transport, and understand that it does not get paid through our site. The only money changing hands at that point is the fee you pay to CitizenShipper, so you actually do know what you’re paying before you’ve agreed. I apologize that this was not clear to you when you made your transaction. We are always interested in improving the customer experience so if you’d like to provide constructive feedback on what would make it more obvious, we would love to evaluate using that on our system.

Excellent service! Highly recommend!!!
Dena did a wonderful job, kind loving care for our precious 14-week old Belgian Tervuren puppy who was safely delivered happy and healthy to his new home. We could not have asked for sweeter people than Dena and DeShawn to look after our baby. They pulled off a challenging job, a cross-country drive in winter, with efficiency and grace. We would use them again in a heartbeat and highly recommend them!!
