Joe Schmo to Pros, CitizenShipper costs an extra 17.5%
I needed a bike moved several states & posted my job. I had a wide range of potential shippers from people with zero shipments using their pickup truck to some serious professionals with specialized carriers (I chose the pro, not Joe Schmo). Maybe I missed the fine print but be aware CitizenShipper makes their money by adding a 17.5% fee of any bid you accept that goes to them, it’s NOT a deposit for your carrier.. They did get me a fantastic carrier, but I also had people bidding who merely had a pickup truck and would have loaded my Harley into the bed of an F-150 exposed to elements. If I had to do it again, I would have called a shipper direct. Can’t knock them too much b/c I did get a quality shipper, but I could have simply contacted the same carrier direct & saved that extra 17.5% additional surcharge, something I will do going forward.

Good company
Had a good experience with the transporter, good communication, however equipment limitations did not allow him to complete the job. Citizenshipper was good about getting me a credit so I can find another transporter.

My first driver canceled on me!
The first driver that took my job canceled on me. He couldn't get a rental car which I think should have been reserved BEFORE taking the job. As it got to be the pick up day, he finally told me and then canceled and I had to start all over again. That was very frustrating! But, it led me to Char, who took my job and gave me a very fair price and did an amazing job!

It's a good platform to find local…
It's a good platform to find local shippers. Their support via email is decent and prompt with response. Recommend going with shippers with good reviews only as quality of shippers can vary

This was worth the fee of already…
This was worth the fee of already vetted drivers. I got 15 quotes all within 2 hours of my request. Highly recommend ctizenshipper
