I bought CHOSGO hearing aids for $978 in May 2025, relying on the advertised 45-day money-back guarantee. Bluetooth and app connections were unreliable, and I wasn’t satisfied with the performance or setup support. I requested a return within 45 days. CHOSGO authorized it and provided an RMA and instructions for shipping the hearing aids to China. I followed their instructions and made two international return attempts. Both packages came back to me, with the second taking months. Throughout this process, I repeatedly had to explain the same history and point them back to information I had already provided. Their responses often made it feel as though they were hearing about the problem for the first time. In September 2026, they claimed I had not supplied tracking information and that they had “no information whatsoever,” despite my June 2025 email with return-shipment documentation and the extensive correspondence in the same thread. CHOSGO had specifically instructed me to prioritize postal shipping. When the first return failed and I told them UPS and FedEx quotes were approximately $300, they themselves called that cost “outrageous” and said those carriers could also cause customs-clearance difficulties. After two unsuccessful postal returns, I do not think it is reasonable to expect me to keep paying for further attempts without a workable plan, especially when the company itself discouraged the alternatives. CHOSGO also offered a $300 refund without a return, but required a five-star customer-service review first. They made that offer in June and repeated it in July 2025. I did not accept it or receive that refund. I have the emails. I still have the hearing aids and have received no refund. I’ve repeatedly asked for the promised refund or a workable prepaid return method. I’m willing to return the product, but CHOSGO needs to provide a practical way to complete the return and honor its guarantee.

My experience with Chosgo has been one of the most frustrating, misleading, and stressful refund processes I’ve ever dealt with. Their latest and greatest SmartU hearing aids were already a major disappointment, but the return process pushed it firmly into “never again” territory. Poor Product Performance I had been using a basic red/blue hearing aids for about a year that were, affordable at 120AUD, they are reliable, do the job and chargeable batteries last all day. The Chosgo devices were the complete opposite: • Batteries flat after 8 to 10 hours • Constant high pitched squealing • Random feedback • Unstable Bluetooth that only worked if the charging case was held near my mouth • Voice recognition that amplified background noise instead of speech • An app so unstable that fine tuning was nearly impossible The worst discovery was that Bluetooth audio and phone calls only worked if the charging case was held near your face like a walkie talkie. This was never advertised and makes the feature completely impractical. Audio quality was distorted and laggy. Misleading Purchase Location Chosgo’s advertising strongly implies they are US based. Only after requesting a refund was I told the product had to be returned to China, resulting in international postage costs, customs delays, extra fees, and months of unnecessary stress. Had this been disclosed upfront, I would never have purchased. Refund Process: A Complete Runaround Their “45 day money back guarantee” was anything but. The process involved: • Five months and still no refund • Slow, repetitive communication • Requests for photos and proof already provided • Pressure to close my PayPal dispute • Attempts to intimidate me into cancelling the case It felt deliberately designed to stall, confuse, and exhaust customers. Bribery Attempts & Inflated Fees Chosgo even offered incentives for a 5 star review instead of processing the refund, completely inappropriate. When they finally agreed to refund, they advised they would deduct: • $89 AUD “bank handling fee” • $135 AUD “customs clearance fee” Both were unreasonable and clearly inflated. I also paid $38.15 AUD to return the item with full tracking. In total, I would have out-layed approx $265AUD just trying to return a product that didn’t work as advertised. PayPal Outcome Despite extensive evidence, PayPal decided in favour of Chosgo. We now have no product and a loss of $1,042.15 AUD. We chose PayPal for the buyer protection and learned the hard way that we had no buyer protection with Pay Pal, they failed us completely. Threats Toward Reviewers Other customers report similar experiences, including waiting seven months with no refund, and even being threatened with slander or libel claims for posting negative reviews. If they attempt the same with me, everything stated here is factual, documented, and supported by evidence provided to PayPal. Final Verdict The product didn’t work. The features were misleading. The return process was deceptive. The fees were inflated. Communication was manipulative. The stress was unnecessary. And the company has a history of threatening unhappy customers. I strongly advise avoiding Chosgo. Their “money back guarantee” is not what they claim — it’s a maze of delays, pressure tactics, and attempts to reduce your refund. A deeply disappointing experience from start to finish.

I purchased them with their 45-day trial promise. I didn't like them, received an RMA number, and paid to return them to China twice over the course of a year, only to have them refused and sent back to me! TWICE!!!! I have the box that was refused in China is anyone wants to see a picture of it.

Crappy cheap hearing aids. I wanted to return them but it take an international act of GOD to do this. Buyer beware.

I got and payed for a set of hearing aids from Chosgo and they worked for only one month. I tried to get warranty on them and was told I would have to pay freight on them. I refused as I thought one month did not. Deserve me spending money on them. So we actually spent three months trying to get warranty on them. I finally gave up as your representative didn’t seem interested in helping me.

Posted my order number in error-it's 3136 I have a screen shot if you need. The first set of hearing aids didn't fit properly. I returned them and added another $350 for an upgraded pair to try. They didn't work out. So I asked to return them. They said I would have to send them to china for a full refund. I did. It's been 7 months now and every time I ask about my refund they say the hearimg aids haven't cleared customs. I took pictures of the perfect packing of them and the customs paperwork. I need my $700 back! And the $55 I spent on shipping! I have gotten the run around. They also told me if I gave them a 5 star review they would help me. NO WAY! LIARS! THIEVES!

Update: 26/09/2026: After a number of emails the company will not refund the monies... infact simply ignores all email. ****PLease Avoid if unsure**** Unfortunately I cannot give anything lower... otherwise it would probably be -5 for the they customer service and refund policy. Its been 3 months now and I am still waiting for my refund... I order 2 sets : Order no #3810 & #3811 .. hoping to keep one set and return the other. The delivery guy dropped the order over the gate and so I did not take delivery of the items.. Refund still pending. Second set I tried it out and it did suit my ear and hence I sent it back. So Please note that the no quibble returns policy isn't worth what they say. No doubt the product is quite good.. but if you are sending so much money, you want the security of knowing that you will get you money back.. which they actually promise- 45-day Risk-Free Trial 100% satisfaction guaranteed or you can full refund for return it, hassle-free! This is not true. I would like to add that they item we used has been returned and was tracked and they even received it but didn't apply the refund. The item which was not delivered they should have refunded immediately in May 2026. We are now in Sept 2026. I agree with other reviewer.. the company is a rip-off. Following the posting of this review they the Customer services have now responded with the following statement: "Since you've already commented, I'm unable to move forward with this matter.This puts us in a difficult position."
