Stayed at the quality inn In Wilkes barre PA and were robbed (room broken into) despite an electronic key. Police investigated + arrested a known user who was given a key to our room and then relocated to another room. Room search by officer revealed nothing as his girl friend left the room and took everything with her. So far the GM at the hotel declines responsibility. The police told me this is a liability issue for the hotel. We had major problems with our key. As have others who stayed at that location. Obviously a faulty computer that has not been fixed. The housekeeping manager who was on duty was very sympathetic but said she cannot do anything, it's up to the GM. Am now waiting to hear from the CEO Stephen Joyce whom I contacted about the lack of responses so far.

Do not use choice hotels
Do not use choice hotels if you want a benefits program. They opened an account under my spouse's name with out our concent and now we can't use those points because the are under a different name. They claimed no fault in opening a seperate account with out our concent. Horrible phone customer service.

I booked my Choice hotel through calling them and using their rewards program.
I booked my Choice hotel through their rewards center. I had transferred points over to Choice from my Amtrak points. At the time I booked, both the website and the Choice representative on the phone told me that it was 6,000 points per night. The Amtrak points had not transferred over yet, so I paid with my credit card and booked two rooms for three nights at a Choice hotel. I wrote down all the details during the booking as the agent read them out to me. In my notes, I have down that the hotel was going to cost 6,000 per night and that I could pay using my points as soon as they arrived in my account. After booking, I decided to double-check that I was okay by calling the hotel itself. They also reassured me I could use my points for the booking and that the points were 6,000 per night. When my points finally did arrive in my account, a few weeks later, the website now listed the hotel as 30,000 per night. When I called Choice Rewards, they also insisted the hotel was 30,000 per night and that there was no way the hotel could have ever gone down to 6,000 points per night. They didn't believe me, and insisted they had to do an investigation where I'd have to wait 7-10 days and they'd listen to the tapes of my conversation with them. If they found that they were at fault, the supervisor Anthony would make the situation right. I waited a few days before contacting Anthony again. I was told the investigation had finalized and that they did find their agent to be in the wrong for telling me the hotel was 6,000 points. In order to remedy the situation, they offered me 30,000 points, which was the cost of one night stay. I told them that my entire hotel stay should have been covered and that was the only way to remedy the situation. They said it was in their policy to only offer one night stay at the hotel I wanted. So it's clearly their policy to royally screw the customer when needed. This was the one vacation I had booked for the summer and we had family coming that was going to go with us, so it's not as though we can simply change the dates we were going. For a company that specializes in vacations, they sure know how to destroy someone's plans. Do NOT use Choice, whatever you do! Reading the other reviews in this thread, I don't know how a company like Choice can continue to scam their customers. I don't know how I could live with myself being as unscrupulous as they are.

Worst company ever outsourcing is not cool
I am transferring my daughter to Santa Cruz for college and I've been trying for 8 days to buy points and make a reservation they keep telling me there sorry and the hotel is trying to help yet choice hotels keeps fibbing and saying they will handle it and call me yet they never do so for the 8th day I'm trying to get transferred to the U.S. because they outsource EVERYTHING and still no hotel. I would suggest to NEVER use them EVER.

Reservation for 1 room Confirmation for 3!
One star because I can't give it zero! Made an online reservation a week in advance for one room. Received a confirmation for three and since it was prepaid charged for all three rooms! This was a Saturday night, I immediately called customer service and the man said he could not fix it and to call back in the morning. Sunday morning I call, get passed around and put on hold and the man I spoke to said the hotel desk clerk didn't have authority to refund me call tomorrow, meanwhile I'm stressing out about the charges to my account, $600 for rooms I didn't request and will not be using. Clearly an issue with their system yet they couldn't fix it. So I call back Monday, passed around put on hold, the same tune and song, they were able to look up my account, yet state their system is down so they can't help me???!!! Hmmm not adding up is it? Fortunately, I called the hotel directly and they were able to fix my reservation and get it refunded right away, Never again will I book through choice hotels.com and I would warn anyone not to.

Is there anything good to say??
Comfort Inn Central Park West:
There were problems when we arrived at the hotel. Payment issues.
Room was the smallest I have ever seen.
No seats in the restaurant.
And they asked for cashpayment of service+tax. - We paid them cash 168 USD and a month after we got back home, they charged us the intire amount of hotel stay and tax+service again!! Now the hotel claims that they never received any cash payments - But we did pay Charles at Comfort Inn Central Park West 168 USD on June 19 2015. And I asked him for a receipt - But he did not put on the receipt that the 168 USD was cash payment.
This is not okay!!! Never coming back there again. And will spread the word on every media!
