I would like to amend this review. After further research, it was not Choice Hotels it was - GuestReservations.com The other reviews are right on target. Do NOT book with Choice Hotels. We thought we were booking on the hotel's personal website for my mother's funeral but instead were taken to a 3rd party - choice hotel. The service charges are outrageous. We canceled within 15 minutes and then were told no refund. So, we said, ok, we will cancel our cancellation - nope. We have to rebook and would not be refunded. We instead went with Travelocity - they are GREAT! Choice Hotels are worse than robocalls. Avoid them like the plague! ____________ My apology to Choice Hotels. This is an apology to Choice Hotels. Not sure how it happened, but when trying to make a reservation at Quality Inn & Suites at Coos Bay we ended up at guestreservations.com - not Choice Hotels. Somehow we did see the Choice Hotels webpage and logo and assumed the reservation was through them. It was not. I have noticed many others have posted similar comments toward Choice Hotels and it may be a result of being directed to a 3rd party booking service. Choice Hotels might want to look into this and see if other customer comments are similar to our experience. I again, apologize. Stay away from GuestReservations.com This is the actual site from which we lost $300. Beware. We have no further recourse.

My husband and I are planning our trip to Denver to visit family. I booked a hotel for our family of five and used priceline.com to do so because they have a 24-hour free cancellation of all of their bookings - I always go through priceline. Apparently priceline used a reservation option from booking.com without sharing that information. So when I booked it and then we realized the hotel was much farther from our family than initially mapped. Priceline and Booking.com both refuse to refund my money because Quality Inn is the organization who received my money in the first place. However, Quality Inn reports a "no cancellation policy" and points me back to booking.com to request a refund. Not sure why an organization would give me a refund of money they never received in the first place. Quality Inn purports "award-winning customer service" on their canned hold information. Funny, I don't see how you can have an award-winning customer service but refuse to return money for a reservation that will never happen that was cancelled within an hour of it being made. Thank you for stealing money from a family of five. We will never stay at any Choice Hotels brand hotel ever again and will tell every single person we meet this story.

To whom it may concern My husband and I were recently stationed at Fort Carson , and we were in need of finding a hotel to settle in until we found a home. To our surprise , the minute we walked in the quality inn I wasn’t sure if I was in a smoke house or a drug hole. The lobby , the hall way and our room all smelled like smoke. When we got up to our room , while walking in the hall way all we heard was very loud music. And to top It off ,while we were trying to rest we noticed someone under the sheets , IT WAS SOME ONES PARTIAL DENTURES. We tried our best to get out the same entire day , but unfortunately it was not possible per the front desk clerk. The worse money I have ever spent on a hotel . The bed was obviously not cleaned properly. I’m guessing that the housekeeping left the fitted sheet on and did not remove it after the last client . We are completely exhausted disgusted and had to leave . I would really want a full refund !!!

I booked a room got charged doubled the price i have conformation of my 1 night stay and was told i stayed 2 nights which i never did so I called directly to hotel the manager got upset and wanted to argue i have proof in emails of our conversation saying that choice is the one that billed me now she told choice I stayed 2 nights because of a late check out which i did not. Decided to call directly to choice customer service didn't get no where after an hour of waiting on the line for them to tell me call directly to hotel to get it fixed. They are not helpful at all.

Terrible company! They offer good deals, but half the time, their app doesn’t work right. I have made reservations before, and then for some reason the reservation doesn’t show up on the app, causing me to make another last minute reservation. When I figured out two reservations had been made because of this, I called choice hotels. They told me they couldn’t help and I needed to call the hotel directly. The hotel told me they couldn’t help and I needed to call choice hotels. Both told me I had made a non refundable reservation and no matter the reason, I would be charged. So $100 later, I refuse to use them ever again. And because the hotels refuse to assist in the matter even though choice hotels is promoting them, I go out of my way to no longer use hotel chains affiliated with them. The benefits aren’t worth it for the hassle and cost due to glitchy apps. No thank you, choice hotels!

The hotel was great but I was cheated by choice hotel they guarantee the lowest prices but when I checked in the lady at desk asked why I'm paying so much room was $132 but room rate only $84 a night walk in. I called and asked customer service he told me to check website. I checked earlier in the week and the prices was about the same. He told me to check while talking to him. I did the first room was $80 but when I hit it it went to $140;a night. Please believe me when I say I am done. I was recommending to people but I am going to let everyone know.
