We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Cedar…
We stayed at the Comfort Inn in Cedar City last week. We were never sent a survey to give feedback on our stay and feel that feedback is required. Our room keys did not work because the battery in the locking mechanism failed. It took the night clerk an hour to get us back into our room because he was the only one on duty. He was a champ, but had to provide a cot to someone, had to check in a group, and he had no backup. The day person replaced the battery because the maintenance man was off and the maintenance cupboard was locked. The first battery she tried lasted for an hour then stopped so she had to replace it again. She was a champ. Maintenance should be replacing batteries on a schedule so they never fail. They should never be replaced only as needed. Rooms should be checked by maintenance regularly. Our sink did not drain. The faucet in the bathtub was not attached to the wall. The A/C was very noisy. There was no one to tell. Housekeeping needs to be more thorough. The same white crud was on the carpet in the hall in front of our room for all three days of our stay. The night clerk should have someone else with him at least until about 11 pm. When he is away from the desk he should have a sign to put on the counter so we know what to expect. He should also have a uniform of some sort. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were beautifully soft but did not smell fresh.
