Very good cheese yet gel packing not recyclable
Very good cheese. It has broadened my choices Yet I am concerned about the packing material. The frozen gels look like they are not biodegradable. I can recycle the study box. Not the foam. But the gels have me the most concerned, since when their coverings break, the gel could easily spread. I order fish which is packed in dry ice. This may be too cold for the cheese. Of so I would if I were you consider ice (water) packs.

Hi Cornelia - thank you very much for your feedback and sharing your concerns. Please note FedEx does not allow Dry Ice because of the risk associated with the product (toxic and explosive). For the rest, we TOTALLY AGREE with you! We are running out of our current packaging inventory and are integrating a few things: our shipping box is now kodiakotton - 100% recyclable and sustainable component, along with moving toward EnviroIce gel packs that you can either discard, recycle of feed your plant.
