Booking the cruise was ULTIMATELY easy albeit confusing at 1st. The web pages are jam-packed with pictures, huge and tiny writing in different colors and fonts. Finding simple answers like dates, prices, rooms are hard to find. You’ve got to wade through a group of commitment steps to get to what you really want to know. What really upset me, though, is that I entered a chat with a representative (her name began with “La…”) who gave me the wrong port-of-call for my voyage. Based upon that information, I began making plane reservations for an airport 3 hours from the city the cruise would be leaving from!!!! Then, I checked ChatGPT and discovered that the representative was giving misinformation. Boy, was I mad! So, please check and recheck what you read and hear. Talk to more than 1 cruise line representative, then Google it again, then AI it again. Make sure all the information that you receive jibes.

The booking agent failed to provide us with transportation to transportation for us to the ship! We have tried calling to schedule it! No luck!

TLDR: I got a good price on a cruise, but found that cheapcruises.com website offers and specials are misleading. Call if you care about which specials will apply. I went looking for a Caribbean cruise and cheapcruises.com had some very attractive pricing and black Friday offers. After attempting to determine which of the offers would apply to my potential booking, I went on to actually book my cruise online. The booking was within 60 days and so was non-refundable. The booking options on the "ordering pages" made it VERY difficult to determine which of the various offers on the previous page would or would not apply. In the end, l chose less expensive options and ended up getting NONE of the offers, as I had unknowingly chosen a no-perks fare. For context, I have cruised dozens of times and I have booked at cheapcruises.com at least three times, prior to this review. This was my least satisfactory experience, but I bear some of the responsibility for the outcome. I SHOULD have called a representative and gotten clarity on what offers were valid for the price point I was considering. Frankly, I got excited and jumped when I should have slowed down and called. I am not unhappy with the price I got, and I'm not unhappy with cheapcruises.com in general. What I AM unhappy with is the lack of clarity on which offers are going to apply to which fares as you move though the ordering process. The offers are more than a little misleading and once you start the actual ordering process, the offer fine print is not available to read.

Beware when booking with Cheapcrusies.com. My booking agent was wonderful, the process was pretty easy, and the price was good. However, they advertise that you will get a $150.00 credit, but that was not the case for me. After I booked our cruise, I asked about the credit and was told since we didn't book 21 days in advance there wasn't enough time for them to alert Princess Cruises for them to issue the credit. This made no sense to me since we live in the 21st century and with a click of a button the credit could have been added. When I spoke with a supervisor, I was told I should have read the fine print before booking. I did go back and was not able to find that information. At least it was included on the link advertising the $150.00 credit. Hopefully, the rest of our trip will go well.
