CGTraderReviews of cgtrader.com

I really like the service, it's very convenient and everything is clear!

i am very dissapointed in this company i purchased some items from them and they didnt work with my software and i asked for a refund so i can buy something else and they never emailed me back and now they suspended my account i dont know where these people come from i just dont know

CGTrader has great models. Somehow they've managed to attract a high quality group of 3-D artists for their platform. That's the ONLY good thing about CGTrader though. Because of their poor purchase review system, it can sometimes take over a day for me to get the digital files I purchased. This is especially bad over weekends and holidays. I buy models to save time on work I'm creating for clients, and when it takes days to get my files, that time is wasted. I can get models instantly on Turbosquid. CGTrader only allows for positive/negative feedback on models. They don't have a star rating system, and they don't show your feedback by default. You have to post it twice, once when you review and once as a comment, which doesn't show you actually purchased the product. So it's really a hassle to leave a good review for a product. These reviews are important for the 3D designer's sales, and they help prevent bad models being sold over and over again as well. The customer service from CGTrader is poor. They rarely have anything helpful to say, and it takes quite a long time to hear back from anyone. EDIT: I changed this from a 2-star to a 3-star review, because I just had a model instantly approved! A great stride, but there's still a long ways to go in terms of customer service. Keep it up, and I'll be happy to recommend CGTrader in the future. EDIT: That was just a fluke. I spent another long day waiting for a purchase to be reviewed. EDIT 08/23/2018: No longer a fluke! CGTrader now has my models available instantly after every purchase! Huge upgrade. I can now stop using TurboSquid when I need a quick turnaround. They've also made some nice updates to the way the site and purchasing works. If the customer service improves, I'd make this a 5-star review.

Quick friendly response, very helpful.

I’m a seller on Cgtrader and its my favorite place because it is the best in many regards. It has a top of the bill uploader back-end, presentation features and build in direct communication with artists. Also consider that artist pay very low fee (compared to other website) to store and sell models. Most artist hoe sell 3D stock media also sell on other places (just like me) but in other places we have to pay up to 60% to store and sell models, the same models in many cases costs way more on those other websites because artists need to add this high additional cost to the model. On CGtrader artist are also very helpful to ensure they earn likes and positive ratings and secure a good position. Customers can leave comments or bad rating if they feel unsatisfied so there is real incentive from artist to provide good quality and service. It is very easy to spot the best and most helpful artists and have good direct connection with them.

Strong website! But payment takes time.
