The place is full AI content is ruining your website, also be more thorough on reviewing what is being uploaded, the are tons of assets ripped from videogames on the store sold for money, and also a ton of FREE assets pulled from other sites that are being sold on the site

Rigged 3D Character
I purchased a very low cost "rigged" low poly 3d anthro model for the purpose of experimenting with animation. I'm more than happy with the purchase, and the developer was very responsive in explaining that the model was body rigged only; not face (eyes, mouth, expressions). It would be helpful if adverts for "rigged" characters provided detail on the scope of rigging, and CGTrader search filter facilitated that.

I´m a seller of assets on cgtrader and…
I´m a seller of assets on cgtrader and want to say that their money policy is the worst of all other platforms for selling assets. They take nearly 50% of all earnings making it impossible to earn as a beginner. The system where you increase your percent of income by each sale is ok, and I was slowly crawling upwards 1 by 1 percent for months passing. I almost reached 63%, and now they just rolled me back to 58% without any warning or notification. Very greedy assholes.

A warning for serious 3D designers: Why I left after $300k in sales
As a professional 3D designer who generated around $300k in gross between CGTrader and Cults3D, I recently decided to permanently delete my profile and move my catalog entirely to Cults3D. Having spent years on the platform, I have seen its steady decline, and I want to share my experience with fellow creators.
Here are the main reasons why CGTrader is no longer viable for high-volume designers:
Increasing Fees and Hidden Costs: Over the years, royalty cuts have consistently worsened. Between base fees, hidden processing costs, and platform charges, designers are left with an unacceptably small percentage of their earnings.
No Currency Control & Awful Exchange Rates: You cannot choose or retain your payout currency directly. Payments are forced through Hyperwallet (a PayPal platform), which applies absurdly inflated foreign exchange fees and unfavorable conversion rates compared to the actual daily market rate, chipping away even more from your net earnings.
Cluttered and Unfunctional GUI: Instead of improving the core creator experience, recent updates have made the interface increasingly confusing, sluggish, and counter-intuitive to navigate.
Useless AI Features Adding to the Chaos: Rather than fixing basic usability issues, the platform has pivoted to pushing shoehorned, useless AI tools that nobody asked for or uses. These half-baked features only serve to clutter the platform further and make navigation even more frustrating.
Fraudulent Purchases & Unprotected Earnings: I suffered frequent fraudulent sales involving high-ticket items where stolen/revoked credit cards were used. Customers walked away with thousands of dollars worth of my digital products for free, and CGTrader provided zero seller protection or chargeback coverage.
Ruined Freelance Section: The freelance project section has degraded significantly. It is now completely overrun by spam bots and flooded with unrealistic micro-budgets, all while the platform raised commission fees on freelance jobs as well.
Inadequate Designer Support: Customer service for creators is virtually non-existent. When critical issues arise—such as fraud or payment disputes—support responses are slow, generic, and unhelpful.
Flawed Automated Moderation Bots: Automated systems continuously flag and block designs for false positives. Products are routinely banned for "NSFW content" (despite being completely non-explicit) or incorrectly flagged as "real weapon replicas" when they are clearly stylized/fantasy 3D models. Getting these unjust bans reviewed manually is an exercise in frustration.
CGTrader used to be a reliable marketplace, but its current policies, broken moderation, and lack of seller protection make it unsustainable for serious professionals. Moving my catalog to Cults3D has been a necessary step to protect my work, revenues, and peace of mind.

CGTrader.com has a great inventory of AAA 3D assets
CGTrader.com has always been a reliable source for models, providing excellent support and reasonable (sometimes incredibly inexpensive) models.
They are my number 1 source for assets I can use.
