The article concerning savannahs
The article concerning savannahs, sponsored by Certapet, is discriminatory, wrong; and was not a objective article since the author continue to share her negative impression of this breed. She also acts as if there are a thousand shelters in which have savannahs! Ya.... Okay.. So if I want to certify one of my savannahs, you would not?! If you breed bash, at least have someone that actually owns one to write a article! To Ceripet, My savannah, would lay with me for hours when I was suffering from extremely bad chronic pain and purr. Currently, I own six savannah and savannah mixes. None are more aggressive than your regular tabby. I even have a F2 whom is the sweetest cat ever. She even walks on a leash. I also have a rescue that is terrified of people. When you write lies AR people believe you. Several told me to drop my previous abused savannah mix to a wild cat sanctuary, which I SAVED FROM A BAD SITUATION! Savannahs are a great deal of work. They are athletic, energetic, curious and extremely intelligent. They make messes! They are not an accessory or should be gotten as a status symbol, or for looks. But they are no more work than owning a dog. This is not an objective article as you act as if they are like wild aggressive monsters. Which is how I know the author is a animal right fanatic and is just regurgitating the opinions of Carole Baskin. If ANY savannahs are taken to shelters they are usually pulled by rescue. As many savannah breeders also rescue and use their own resources and money and rehome them. I would like to see some type of proof of how many savannahs are euthanized in shelters. There are now many households that own savannahs and love them. I would encourage to actually research savannahs in a non bias way.

Thank you for your comment we'll talk to the writer but a lot of savannah cats are abandoned because as a hybrid breed they can be a lot of work and people do not understand the effort that goes behind owning one. We want to educate the public beforehand. While you may live in a state where they are legal to own, there are many states where it is illegal to own a Savannah. Please be more than welcome to contact us directly for any further questions or concerns.
